Final Score: D.C. 1, Houston 0

Washington, D.C. (Sports Network) - D.C. United earned its first ever win over the Houston Dynamo, 1-0, on Saturday night at RFK Stadium.

Luciano Emilio scored the game's lone goal, his second of the season, to lead United (1-0-2) to its first win of the 2009 campaign.

The Brazilian striker earned the goal two minutes after the break when he ran onto a ball that was lobbed into the Houston penalty area by United fullback Bryan Namoff. Emilio then chipped the ball over goalkeeper Pat Onstad into the top corner of the net and just over the goal line for the game winner.

D.C. goalkeeper Louis Crayton made four saves in his first shutout of the season.

United, which is now second in the East, two points back of New England ahead of the league's Sunday fixtures, plays at Real Salt Lake next Saturday, while Houston (0-2-1) hosts the New York Red Bulls the same day in its next MLS match.
