Was selected by the Big Ten coaches for the All-Big Ten Second Team squad in 2008 and 2009...As a senior, the tight end hauled in 51 receptions for 624 yards and seven touchdowns...Not an explosion tight end, and will not cause matchup problems for opponents...However, he does work the middle on the field, and uses his toughness to make the hard catches...Is also solid inside the red zone and can also help the ground game, with above average blocking abilities.
