Description: Packers coach Mike McCarthy and QB Aaron Rodgers both want to run 75 plays a game in 2014, according to ESPN.com.
Insight: The Packers ranked 11th in the NFL with an average of 67.125 plays per game last year and the Broncos were first with 72.25, so 75 plays is ambitious. Still, we like that Green Bay plans to push the pace. That will help Rodgers, Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb and Eddie Lacy all live up to their lofty ADPs.

Description: Packers QB Aaron Rodgers told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that despite turning 30-years old and coming off an injury-filled season he will still run the football when needed.
Insight: That's good news for fantasy owners. Rodgers is no Michael Vick, or for that matter Colin Kaepernick, Cam Newton or RGIII, but he still averages 4.7 ypc when he runs (18 career TDs).

Description: Packers QB Aaron Rodgers stunned the Bears with a desperation touchdown heave late in the fourth quarter Sunday at Solider Field.
Insight: On 4th and 8 and less than a minute remaining, Rodgers delivered a picture perfect throw to Randall Cobb who took it all the way for the touchdown. Rodgers (318 yards on 25-of-39 passing) looked rusty at first and the two interceptions he threw were a bit uncharacteristic. But when it mattered most, Rodgers was on point. Green Bay will host San Francisco next week in the first round of the playoffs.

12/26/2013 2:43:00 PM
Description: Packers coach Mike McCarthy announced on Thursday that Aaron Rodgers would start for Green Bay in Week 17.
Insight: The Packers stayed alive in the NFC North race without their star, but it appears he'll be under center for the winner-take-all matchup with Chicago. Rodgers' return increases the value of everyone on the Green Bay offense. They may also get Randall Cobb back in the lineup.

12/20/2013 1:55:00 PM
Description: Packers coach Mike McCarthy made it official - QB Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) will not play in Week 16.
Insight: Thanks to a great comeback in Dallas and Justin Tucker's kicking on Monday night, the Packers control their own fate and will win the NFC North if they win their final two games. But it appears that they will have to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers with Matt Flynn under center.

12/20/2013 9:46:00 AM

12/18/2013 5:08:00 PM
Description: Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) still has not been cleared by team doctors, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Insight: Thanks to a great comeback in Dallas and Justin Tucker's kicking on Monday night, the Packers now control their own fate and will win the NFC North if they win their final two games. Fantasy owners should prepare for a late-week decision regarding Green Bay's starting QB in Week 16 against Pittsburgh.

Description: Aaron Rodgers (broken collarbone) has another doctor's appointment scheduled for Wednesday to determine is he can get the ok to play Sunday.
Insight: Thanks to a great comeback in Dallas and Justin Tucker's kicking on Monday night, the Packers now control their own fate. Green Bay will win the NFC North if they win their final two games. That would be a lot easier with All-Pro Rodgers under center.

12/13/2013 2:18:00 PM
Description: Aaron Rodgers (broken collarbone) didn't take any snaps with the first team on Friday and has been ruled out for Sunday's game in Dallas. On Thursday, Rodgers had indicated that he'd need to get the majority of the first-team reps on Friday to start.
Insight: Matt Flynn will start for the third week in a row. Rodgers may not play again this season if the Packers can't stay in the playoff race.

12/11/2013 11:55:00 AM
Description: According to ESPN's Ed Werder, the Packers are pessimistic about Aaron Rodgers' chances of being cleared for Sunday's game at Dallas.
Insight: Rodgers admitted Tuesday he "didn't feel good" at last week's practice while acknowledging that he's having trouble making simple movements. Matt Flynn will likely start again Sunday.

12/10/2013 8:14:00 PM
Description: Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers gave an update on his collarbone injury Tuesday during his weekly radio show. Unfortunately for fantasy owners, the news he shared wasn't very encouraging.
Insight: Rodgers admitted he "didn't feel good" at last week's practice while acknowledging that he's having trouble making simple movements. If we had to guess, we'd expect Matt Flynn to start Sunday against Dallas.

12/10/2013 10:42:00 AM
Description: We should get an update on Aaron Rodgers' status after team physician Dr. Pat McKenzie evaluates him on Wednesday.
Insight: Rodgers (broken collarbone) has been practicing, but without contact. Detroit's loss on Sunday has Green Bay back in the playoff hunt so Rodgers definitely has incentive to return before the season ends.

Insight: Rodgers (broken collarbone) has been allowed to practice, but without contact. It will be another weekend of Matt Flynn. Rodgers could return in Week 15 if the Packers are still in the playoff hunt.

12/5/2013 11:38:00 AM
Description: We are still awaiting official word on Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers' availability for Sunday's game with Atlanta, but we are leaning toward his not being available at this time.
Insight: Rodgers (broken collarbone) has been allowed to practice, but without contact. Look for another weekend of Matt Flynn. Rodgers could return in Week 15 if the Packers are still in the playoff hunt.

Description: Green Bay QB Aaron Rodgers might be able to play next week against the Lions. SOURCE: Jay Glazer, Fox Sports
Insight: Rodgers broke his collarbone almost three weeks ago on Monday Night Football. The risk of re-injury is high but with Green Bay's playoff chances hanging in the balance, it may be a risk worth taking. Certainly, he'd represent an overwhelming upgrade over current starter Scott Tolzien.
