Description: Blazers forward Thomas Robinson would likely get the start at PF if LaMarcus Aldridge isn't over his upper respiratory illness by Saturday.
Insight: Robinson has never started an NBA game so knowing what he can do isn't an absolute, but he's unlikely to produce fantasy-worthy numbers.

3/5/2014 10:24:00 AM
Description: Blazers forward Thomas Robinson (knee strain) is "still in the process of rehabbing" from a left patella tendon strain, coach Terry Stotts said, according to The Oregonian.
Insight: Robinson received a chance to play more minutes when LaMarcus Aldridge was out of the lineup, but his injury put a stop to that and Aldridge has since returned. Robinson will miss his fourth straight game Wednesday.

2/28/2014 5:08:00 PM
Description: Blazers forward Thomas Robinson (knee) didn't practice Friday, according to Chris Haynes of csnnw.com.
Insight: Robinson has a strained left patella tendon and probably won't play Saturday. LaMarcus Aldridge practiced and is looking likely to play Saturday, so even if Robinson can somehow play he won't be a fantasy option.

2/26/2014 8:28:00 PM
Description: Blazers forward Thomas Robinson will not play Wednesday due to a left patella tendon strain, according to Joe Freeman of the Oregonian.
Insight: Robinson's X-rays and MRI results both were negative. The injury comes at a terrible time for the 22-year-old Robinson, as he has finally been getting a chance to play with LaMarcus Aldridge, Joel Freeland and Meyers Leonard out. We should see plenty of Robin Lopez, who has averaged 11.8 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks his last eight games, again on Wednesday, and Dorell Wright also will get some extra playing time.

2/26/2014 9:34:00 AM
Description: Blazers forward Thomas Robinson injured his knee Tuesday night against Denver. He left after playing just 14 minutes.
Insight: Robinson tried to play through the ailment for a little while but he just didn't look like himself (two points on 1-of-5 shooting). Don't count on him to play Wednesday against the Nets.

2/25/2014 8:38:00 PM
Description: Portland power forward Thomas Robinson is coming off a 14-point, 18-rebound, two-block game Sunday and probably will play a big role again Tuesday with LaMarcus Aldridge (groin) still sidelined.
Insight: Aldridge, Joel Freeland and Meyers Leonard are all out, leaving more minutes for Robinson, Victor Claver, Dorell Wright and Mo Williams. Robinson, the 2012 No. 5 overall pick, played a career-high 33 minutes Sunday and had his first double-double of the season.

2/18/2014 10:26:00 PM
Description: With LaMarcus Aldridge (groin), Meyers Leonard (ankle) and Joel Freeland (knee) all out, Thomas Robinson is about to have his role expanded.
Insight: Aldridge will miss at least a week with a groin strain, Leonard will sit out 2-3 weeks with an ankle sprain and Freeland is out until mid-March with a sprained MCL. Robinson was the No. 5 pick in the 2012 NBA Draft but he is already with his third NBA franchise and has averaged just 11 minutes, 4.2 points and 3.7 rebounds this season. C.J. McCollum, Dorell Wright and Mo Williams also will have to play more.

Description: Thomas Robinson is on the move again. This time the former University of Kansas star is headed to Portland. SOURCE: Adrian Wojnarowski, Yahoo Sports
Insight: The Rockets are sending Robinson to the Blazers for Kostas Papanikolau, Marko Todorovic and two future second round picks. It's kind of mindboggling that the No. 5 pick in last year's draft is already on his third team but it's understandable with Houston trying to clear up as much cap room as possible to land Dwight Howard (Omer Asik and Jeremy Lin are said to be on the move as well). Robinson (4.8 ppg, 4.5 rpg as a rookie) plays the same position as All-Star LaMarcus Aldridge so he won't be much of a factor in fantasy next season.

6/21/2013 9:05:00 PM
Description: An unknown team has offered the Houston Rockets a first-round pick in the 2013 NBA Draft in exchange for forward Thomas Robinson, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.com.
Insight: Robinson, the No. 5 pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, is due roughly $3.5 million next season, and by moving him the Rockets can clear enough to offer a max contract to Dwight Howard. Robinson could already be headed to his third NBA team; he was drafted by the Kings and traded to the Rockets during the season. Overall, he averaged 4.8 points and 4.5 rebounds in just 15 minutes per game.

3/13/2013 10:39:00 PM
Description: Rockets forward Thomas Robinson had 12 points, seven rebounds and one steal in 20 minutes of play off the bench Wednesday against Phoenix.
Insight: Robinson hasn't received the minutes boost that we expected after being traded to Houston. Donatas Motiejunas has moved into the starting lineup instead while Robinson gets inconsistent playing time on the bench.

3/10/2013 9:23:00 AM
Description: Rockets forward Thomas Robinson has not received the minutes boost we expected since joining Houston. He's only playing 14 mpg in six games, down from 16 with Sacramento.
Insight: We expected Robinson to take over the starting PF spot after Patrick Patterson was traded for him. However, Donatas Motiejunas has taken over that role. The Rockets likely still have plans to get Robinson involved in the rotation but until that happens he's useless to fantasy owners.

3/3/2013 9:46:00 PM
Description: Rockets forward Thomas Robinson made 3-of-4 from the field and 4-of-6 from the free-throw line in 18 minutes of play for 10 points Sunday against the Mavericks. He added eight rebounds and three steals.
Insight: Robinson only played 10.5 ppg and attempted two field goals in his first two games with the Rockets but he received more minutes Sunday with the team up big on Dallas. We eventually expect Robinson to replace Donatas Motiejunas in the starting lineup, but until that happens he won't put up many fantasy worthy lines.

2/28/2013 11:27:00 AM
Description: Forward Thomas Robinson only played eight minutes and scored two points in his Rockets debut Wednesday night. He has been working daily with coach Kevin McHale and assistant coach J.B. Bickerstaff on low-post drills, accoridng to the Houston Chronicle.
Insight: McHale is a Hall of Fame big man so Robinson is in good hands. Donatas Montiejunas has started and played 24.5 minutes over the last two games but Robinson is a more highly regarded prospect and should eventually take over starting duties. Fantasy owners should exercise patience if they can.

Description: Thomas Robinson will make his Rockets debut on Wednesday, coach Kevin McHale said. SOURCE: David Barron, Houston Chronicle
Insight: Houston sent power forwards Patrick Patterson and Marcus Morris packing, leaving Robinson as the best option to fill the void. He's worth a look in fantasy leagues, as 25 mpg is a possibility immediately, even with Donatas Montiejunas named as the starter for Wednesday.

2/20/2013 8:11:00 PM
Description: The Kings have traded power forward Thomas Robinson to the Rockets for Patrick Patterson, Cole Aldrich and Toney Douglas. SOURCE: Adrian Wojnarowski, Yahoo! Sports
Insight: With Marcus Morris also having been traded in a separate deal, Robinson has immediate fantasy value as the presumed starting power forward for the high-flying Rockets.

1/19/2013 9:05:00 PM
Description: Sacramento forward Thomas Robinson was taken to the locker room after getting hit in the mouth Saturday against Charlotte. His return is questionable.
Insight: Robinson (4.6 ppg) only lasted a minute before getting injured. His X-rays came back negative but he might still be a bit sore after getting stitches. We're guessing the Kings will play it safe here and give Robinson the rest of the night off.

11/8/2012 8:27:00 PM
Description: Kings power forward Thomas Robinson will serve a two-game suspension after elbowing Pistons forward Jonas Jerebko in the throat Wednesday in Sacramento.
Insight: That's not how you want to begin your rookie season. Expect Robinson to be in coach Keith Smart's doghouse for a while after this transgression.

6/28/2012 8:09:00 PM
Description: The Kings have selected Kansas forward Thomas Robinson with the fifth overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.
Insight: Robinson averaged 17.7 points and 11.9 rebounds as a junior with Kansas last season. The Kings will have a strong inside-outside scoring combo in the frontcourt with Robinson and DeMarcus Cousins next season.
