Description: Cleveland righthander Corey Kluber announced his presence with a stunning performance Sunday against Washington. | Insight: Kluber scattered seven hits over eight shutout frames. He finished with eight strikeouts and didn't walk any of the 30 batters he faced. If Kluber (0.56 ERA in his last two starts) wasn't on your radar before, he should be now.

Description: Indians minor league starter Corey Kluber may be called up to start Thursday now that Josh Tomlin has been demoted to the bullpen. | Insight: Kluber has gone 11-7 with a 3.59 ERA and an International League-leading 128 strikeouts in 125 1/3 innings with Triple-A Columbus this season. Kluber is not one of the Cleveland organization's top 20 prospects (per MLB.com), but he still will have some mixed league intrigue if he's called up due to his excellent Triple-A stats.

Description: Now that Tampa Bay has promoted Chris Archer from Triple-A Durham, Indians minor league starter Corey Kluber has taken over the International League lead with 87 strikeouts. | Insight: Kluber has gone 6-6 with a 3.54 ERA and 87 strikeouts in 76 1/3 innings for Triple-A Columbus this season. The 26-year-old was sent to Cleveland from San Diego in a three-way trade also involving St. Louis (Jake Westbrook went to St. Louis, Ryan Ludwick went to San Diego) back in 2010. The Indians currently have struggling Josh Tomlin (5.12 ERA) and Jeanmar Gomez (4.95) at the back end of their rotation, so Kluber may get a shot at some point, though nothing is imminent.
