Ramirez leads Brewers past Pirates

Milwaukee, WI (SportsNetwork.com) - Aramis Ramirez stroked a two-run home run to help the Milwaukee Brewers to a 4-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday at Miller Park.

Mark Reynolds added a solo blast and Carlos Gomez picked up an RBI for the Brewers, who have won seven straight.

Wily Peralta (1-0) hurled seven solid innings, allowing two runs -- one earned -- on four hits, fanning four. Francisco Rodriguez struck out the side in the ninth, earning his third save of the season.

Neil Walker provided Pittsburgh's offense, going 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and Pittsburgh starter Francisco Liriano (0-2) surrendered all four of the Milwaukee's runs, while fanning seven through six frames.
