GAME NOTES: The Hofstra Pride have lost six of their last seven games, and with five regular season contests left they'll try to make up some ground in the Colonial Athletic Association, starting with a trip to face the Drexel Dragons Sunday at Daskalakis Center.

Hofstra hasn't been able to string back-to-back wins together since the middle of January. The Pride have lost six of their last seven, with a win over UNC Wilmington breaking up a potential seven-game losing skid. The Pride are coming off a 59-53 loss to James Madison Monday.

Drexel broke up a two-game win streak with a loss at the College of Charleston, 47-46, on Thursday. The Dragons have lost four of their last seven games, and sport a 5-6 record in the CAA this season.

Drexel has a pretty firm grip on the all-time lead in the series with Hofstra at 44-33. The Dragons edged the Pride earlier this year, 77-74, on the road.

Hofstra used an 18-0 run in the second half to climb back into contention versus James Madison in the Pride's last outing, but the Dukes proved to be too much for Hofstra to handle in the end. Zeke Upshaw tallied 15 points to lead the Pride, while Dion Nesmith chipped in 10 points, six rebounds and five assists. Jamall Robinson also added 10 points with six boards in the losing effort.

Upshaw has certainly been a bright spot for Hofstra in an otherwise down year. Upshaw leads the team in scoring with an 18.6 ppg average. Nesmith is the only other member of the Pride to notch a scoring total in double figures this season, netting 13 ppg with a team-high of 95 assists on the season. Stephen Nwaukoni leads the team in rebounding with 8.3 rpg, and is second in blocked shots with 15. The Pride are averaging just 66.7 ppg this season through 26 games played.

With four seconds left to play, Charleston forward Willis Hall buried a jumper to give the Cougars a one-point edge over Drexel, which they held onto for the victory. Frantz Massenat led the Dragons with 16 points in the contest, and Tavon Allen came off the bench to record a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. The Dragons had just three total assists in the game.

Chris Fouch is enjoying a breakout senior season for Drexel, leading the team in scoring with 18.1 ppg on 39.9 percent shooting from the floor, and has hit 59 3-point attempts on the year. Massenat is also having a terrific season for the Dragons, netting 17.6 ppg with a team-high 121 assists on the year with a team-high 16 steals. Dartaye Ruffin tops the squad in rebounding with 7.5 rpg, and Rodney Williams is the team leader in blocked shots with 28. Allen checks in with 12.5 ppg for Drexel.

Hofstra has really struggled in conference play this season, and especially on the road. Drexel, unless plagued with some offensive issues, should be able to easily outscore the Pride and take another conference victory.
