GAME NOTES: The Towson Tigers take a four-game win streak on the road as they travel to face the College of Charleston Cougars at TD Arena in Colonial Athletic Association play.

Three times this season Towson has gone on three-game winning streaks, but the current four-game one the team is on is the longest yet. The Tigers have a chance to extend the streak, although they've lost five of their six games on the road this season. They recently defeated Drexel, 80-68, in CAA action.

Charleston is coming off a 58-49 victory against CAA foe Northeastern. The Cougars have won five of their last six games, and return home after a short two-game road stint to host Towson.

Charleston has a slight edge in the all-time series between these two teams, 2-1. Their history is short, but now these two CAA teams will meet annually. They'll play again this season on Feb. 8 at Towson.

Towson traveled up to Philadelphia to take on Drexel Tuesday, and the Tigers won their third straight game against the Dragons, their second straight in CAA action. Jerrelle Benimon recorded his eighth straight double-double by scoring a team-high 27 points and 13 rebounds in the win. Teammate Marcus Damas netted 26 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the floor for the Tigers, who shot 55.3 percent in the game, including 8-of-16 from 3-point range.

Benimon has proven to be one of the top players in the conference this season. The 17-game starter averages 18.4 ppg and a beastly 11.2 rpg. Benimon shoots 53.2 percent from the floor, and shows off his versatility with a team-high 69 assists on the season. He also leads the team with 28 blocked shots. Damas and Rafriel Guthrie are the two other Towson players averaging double-digit scoring totals, at 12.2 ppg and 10.6 ppg, respectively.

As the newest member of the CAA, Charleston recorded its first road conference win with a 58-49 defeat of Northeastern in Boston on Monday. The Cougars came back from a low-scoring first half deficit, 21-19, to take the win. Forward Anthony Thomas netted a team-high 16 points and dished out eight assists in the win, while Willis Hall scored 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the double-double. Anthony Stitt contributed 10 points in the road victory.

Hall and Stitt come in as the leading scorers for the Cougars through the first 18 games of the season. Hall leads the squad at 11.2 ppg, with a team- leading 9.5 rpg, and Stitt is a close second in scoring at 10.7 ppg. While Hall leads in rebounds, Stitt tops the roster with 57 assists on the season. Adjehi Baru is the team's best shot blocker this season, recording 31 blocks through 18 games.

Charleston has proven to be a worthy team so far in its first season of CAA basketball, but Towson can almost not be stopped with Benimon and Damas leading the charge. The Tigers should be able to tie the all-time series up.

Sports Network Predicted Outcome: Towson 80, Charleston 72
