Report: Notre Dame leaving Big East for ACC Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Notre Dame is apparently the latest big-name school on its way out of the Big East. According to the Chicago Tribune, the school will announce plans to join the Atlantic Coast Conference in all sports, except football and hockey. Notre Dame would still remain an independent in football and will join Hockey East in hockey. It's another blow for the Big East. West Virginia left this year for the Big 12, while Syracuse and Pittsburgh are heading to the ACC next year. More to follow. 09/12 10:00:22 ET |
