Tanev's third-period goal propels Canucks past Jets

Vancouver, BC (SportsNetwork.com) - Christopher Tanev scored the tiebreaking goal midway through the third period and the Vancouver Canucks edged the Winnipeg Jets, 2-1, for their sixth straight victory at home.

Eddie Lack earned the win with 15 saves in relief of starter Roberto Luongo, who departed at 16:30 of the first period with an undisclosed injury.

Brad Richardson picked up the other goal for the Canucks, who improved to 9-1-1 in December.

Ondrej Pavelec made 23 saves for Winnipeg, which has dropped five of seven.
