Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - The Toronto Maple Leafs signed free agent forward Jay McClement to a two-year deal on Sunday.

McClement, an Ontario native, scored 10 goals with 17 points for the Colorado Avalanche last season.

The 29-year-old pivot has amassed 63 goals and had 177 points in 553 games over seven seasons with St. Louis and Colorado.

Toronto also announced it signed defenseman Mike Kostka to a one-year contract.
