2009 semifinalist for the O'Brien and Maxwell Awards...Leaves Notre Dame ranked first or second in 32 passing categories despite skipping his senior season to enter this draft...Completed 695-of-1,110 passes for 8,148 yards with 60 touchdowns and 27 interceptions while starting 34 of 35 games played for Notre Dame...One of the most high-profile recruits in the history of the storied program...Was sensational as a junior in 2009, passing for 3,722 yards with 28 touchdowns and only four interceptions...Has above average arm strength and accuracy...Was very well coached by Charlie Weis, who has mentored Tom Brady at the NFL level...Clausen played in a pro-style offense in college, a major feather in his cap entering this draft...There is some room for improvement in his throwing motion, which features a bit of a wind up and a shoulder drop...Tremendous leader who played on a collegiate team with a horrendous defense...A hard worker who doesn't complain...Clearly one of the top QB prospects in this draft.
