Declared early for the draft, speculation being that he opted to try for the pros in order to help take care of his ailing mother...Suffered a sprained knee versus Washington at the end of September in 2007, forcing him to miss three games...Started 12 games for USC as a sophomore in 2006, earning All-Pac-10 honorable mention and a spot on the sophomore All-American Second Team according to one outlet...Despite leaving early and coming off an injury, with a sprained ankle in 2006 and arthroscopic knee surgery in 2004 to add tothe list, Rachal is still considered one of the top interior linemen available in the draft this year after playing a part in one of the most dynamic offenses in recent history.
