Steelers re-sign Allen, Warren

Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Pittsburgh Steelers re-signed veteran safety Will Allen and long-snapper Greg Warren to one-year contracts on Wednesday.

Allen played in five games for the Dallas Cowboys last season before being released in early October. He then signed with Pittsburgh and played in 12 games with the Steelers. The Ohio State product combined for 33 tackles and two interceptions.

Originally selected by Tampa Bay in the fourth round of the 2004 NFL Draft, Allen played with the Buccaneers from 2004-2009. The 31-year-old spent the 2010-12 seasons with Pittsburgh.

For his career, he has recorded 293 tackles and six interceptions in 147 games.

Warren has spent his entire career with the Steelers since originally signing with the team as an undrafted rookie free agent out of the University of North Carolina in 2005. He has played in 64 consecutive regular-season games.
