Started all 30 games in which he appeared for Mississippi State in 2011-12, averaging a double-double with 16.4 points and 10.5 rebounds per outing, both of which led the Bulldogs...Cleared close to four offensive rebounds per contest, his close proximity to the basket helping him convert 54.9 percent of his field goal attempts...Played only one year at MSU after transferring from UTEP...Named to Conference USA All-Freshman squad in 2008-09 as he averaged almost as many rebounds (8.2) as he did points (8.8) per game...His 302 total rebounds set a new freshman record at UTEP, as were his six double- doubles...Could have used another year at the collegiate level to refine his skills, but is instead opting to forgo his senior season.
