GAME NOTES: With wins in six of their last eight games, the Oklahoma Sooners are making their case for at least an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Sooners conclude their Big 12 regular-season slate today against a struggling TCU squad.

Depending on today's results, the Sooners could be seeded No. 3, 4 or 5 in next week's Big 12 Tournament.

Oklahoma has won back-to-back contests, including an 83-70 at home against West Virginia on Wednesday. Romero Osby pumped in 26 points, while Steven Pledger added 23 points and eight rebounds. Sam Grooms also got into the mix as well with eight points, 10 assists and two steals. Incredibly, over the last eight contests, the Sooners have trailed for a little more than 24 minutes.

OU leads the Big 12 by making 76 percent of its foul shots. Osby leads the team in scoring (15.6 ppg) and rebounding (7.0 rpg). Pledger (12.3 ppg) and Amath M'Baye (10.4 ppg) are also in double-figure point production. In conference play, Osby leads the league in field goals (103) and ranks second in scoring (17.7 ppg) and field-goal percentage (.539). Osby is shooting a team-best 52.8 percent from the field, including 50 percent from 3-point range. He's also making 80 percent of his foul shots.

The Sooners could get a lift from freshman guard Buddy Hield going into the conference tournament. Hield suffered a fracture to a bone in his right foot in OU's win over TCU on Feb. 11. He had surgery the following day and returned to the court for the first time on Wednesday, when he was held scoreless in four minutes of the opening half. He was a started in the previous 13 games and is averaging 8.2 points for the season.

The Horned Frogs have struggled big time in their first season in the Big 12 with a 1-16 mark. Their lone league win came in a shocker over then No. 5 Kansas on Feb. 6. TCU is coming off a 79-68 loss at Kansas State Tuesday. Kyan Anderson had a game-high 29 points and Devonta Abron recorded 10 points and eight rebounds off the bench for the Horned Frogs, who have lost 16 of their last 17 games.

TCU ranks No. 4 in the Big 12 in scoring defense (62.2 ppg), but the Horned Frogs are not following through on the offensive side. They are last in the conference at 54.5 points per game and are a league-worst 59.7 percent from the foul line, 39.9 percent from the field and are shooting 30.2 percent from 3-point range. Anderson paces the Horned Frogs in scoring at 12.1 ppg, but he's the lone double-digit scorer. Grlon Green (9.6 ppg) is next, while Adrick McKinney (6.6 rpg) paces the rebounding effort.

The Sooners have won 12 of the 13 all-time meetings. TCU's lone triumph came Dec. 27, 1986. OU has already beaten TCU by 27 in Norman on Feb. 11. Expect the Sooners to feast defensively on TCU's inability to score.

Sports Network Predicted Outcome: Oklahoma 72, TCU 55
