Description: Despite bruising his thumb Monday against the Blue Jays, Rockies lefthander Jorge De La Rosa is hoping he can start Sunday versus the Nationals. SOURCE: Rockies.com
Insight: De La Rosa has pitched well this season, producing a 3.21 ERA in 15 starts. Colorado would probably have to call up someone from Triple-A if De La Rosa's thumb hasn't healed by this weekend.

Description: Colorado lefthander Jorge De La Rosa did his job Monday against Toronto.
Insight: De La Rosa surrendered just one hit over seven scoreless innings. He walked three and struck out four. Unfortunately his teammates couldn't back him with any run support, as De La Rosa (7-4, 3.21 ERA) had to settle for the no-decision. His next start is Saturday against the Nationals.

Insight: De La Rosa is trying to pitch through the injury. The left-hander is 7-3 with a 3.38 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP this season and has a 3.15 ERA at Coors Field, where he'll pitch Wednesday against the Nationals.

Hot5/12/2013 5:55:00 PM
Description: After a pair of near no-hitters against the Rockies Friday and Saturday, Colorado lefty Jorge De La Rosa returned the favor by taking a no-no into the seventh inning Sunday at Busch Stadium.
Insight: De La Rosa (4-3) has held his opponents scoreless in four of his past six outings including two in a row. His 2.98 ERA through eight starts represents a new career-high.

4/21/2013 9:28:00 AM
Description: Rockies starter Jorge De La Rosa two-hit Arizona over six scoreless innings Saturday night to win his second game of the season. He struck out four and walked two.
Insight: De La Rosa has allowed just four hits and no runs over his last two starts (12 IP). His first three starts came on the road, so it was good to see him dominate at Coors Field Saturday. We're still wary of using him there, but he should certainly be owned in most leagues.

4/14/2013 9:34:00 PM
Description: Colorado lefty Jorge De La Rosa beat the Padres with six scoreless innings of two-hit ball Sunday. He struck out seven and walked two.
Insight: De La Rosa can strike people out, but he can't be used at Coors Field, where he has a 4.65 ERA and 1.37 WHIP in 273 innings. All three of his starts have come on the road this year, and he is 1-1 with a 3.86 ERA and a 1.16 WHIP.

Description: Colorado lefty Jorge De La Rosa was scratched from Saturday's start with forearm tightness but he might be able to pitch Saturday, according to Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post.

Description: Rockies starter Jorge De La Rosa's first major league appearance since May 2011 was a disaster. He gave up five earned runs on seven hits in 3 2/3 innings against the Giants Thursday.
Insight: De La Rosa experienced two separate setbacks in his recovery from Tommy John surgery but he was finally able to get back on a big league mound Thursday. He won't be much of a fantasy option in the final two weeks of the season.

6/28/2012 3:53:00 PM
Description: According to the Denver Post, Rockies starter Jorge De La Rosa (elbow) will be shut down through September. He's doubtful to return this season.

5/23/2012 8:44:00 PM
Description: According to the Denver Post, Rockies starter Jorge De La Rosa (elbow) will start for the Triple-A Colorado Springs on Sunday. De La Rosa had Tommy John surgery on June 3, 2011.
Insight: De La Rosa had to have his 30-day rehab window reset due to a right forearm injury, but he's going to throw a bullpen session on Thursday and resume his rehab assignment on Sunday. De La Rosa is expected to return in early June, so go grab the talented strikeout artist now.

5/25/2011 8:36:00 AM
Description: Jorge De La Rosa's season appears to be over after the Colorado Rockies left-hander tore a ligament in his pitching elbow. De La Rosa left Tuesday's game against Arizona in the third inning with soreness in his left elbow and went to the hospital for an MRI. About an hour after the Rockies' 12-4 win in the opener of a day-night doubleheader, the Rockies tweeted, 'Jorge De La Rosa suffered a complete tear of his ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow. The next step is being discussed.' That likely means Tommy John surgery that would sideline the hard-throwing lefty for at least a year. SOURCE: Yahoo Sports
Insight: De La Rosa has no fantasy value for this year and if you play in re-draft leagues you should drop him now.

Description: Rockies LHP Jorge De La Rosa was very strong today with a line of 4 IP, 2 H, 5K, and no earned runs allowed.
