NCAA Game Summary - UAB vs. Temple

Charleston, SC (SportsNetwork.com) - Dalton Pepper scored 24 points and Anthony Lee finished with a double-double as the Temple Owls pulled away for an 87-66 victory over the UAB Blazers to take fifth place in the Charleston Classic at TD Arena.
Pepper knocked down 10-of-15 shots from the floor and added seven rebounds for Temple (3-3). Lee contributed 16 points and 11 rebounds and Quenton DeCosey (18 points) and Will Cummings (17) also scored in double figures.
C.J.Washington had a game-high 28 points as well as 10 rebounds for UAB (4-2), which also got 11 points from Robert Williams and 10 from Chad Frazier.
Both teams shot well in the first half. The Owls connected on 56.3 percent of their field goal attempts in the period, which was a bit better than the 51.7 percent rate from the Blazers. However the two teams were tied at 39-39 entering intermission.
Pepper scored 18 points in the second half and the Owls kept the Blazers to just 25 percent shooting to coast to the win.
Temple had a 38-24 scoring advantage in the paint and also scored 19 points off of 14 UAB turnovers.
