Description: Running back was let go in final cuts by Miami but was re-signed by the team today. SOURCE: THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL POST
Insight: A strange 180 by the team after falling to fourth on the depth chart and being released. The Dolphins must really be concerned with Daniel Thomas's development as running back. We don't see LJ really turning into much or getting any touches of significance.

Description: Free agent RB Larry Johnson reportedly worked out for the Titans on Tuesday. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: The Titans are looking for a big back to compliment Chris Johnson, but we really aren't sure Larry is that guy. He showed absolutely nothing in Washington that would make us believe he can take "LenDale White's old role." With Johnson five carries away from the 200 mark, Tennessee is looking to lighten his workload over the second half of the season.

Insight: LJ demonstrated zero burst or upside in his small stint as a Redskin. Even though Kenneth Darby and Keith Toston are unknowns, at least there is a little bit of upside compared to LJ.

Insight: Johnson may have sealed his fate after trying to make a play against the Texans, but lost ten yards in the process. Keiland Williams, who was mentioned in our waiver wire report, will now back up Clinton Portis.

Description: Jason Reid of The Washington Post reports it would not be "shocking" if both Johnson and Willie Parker are both released before the start of the regular season.

Description: Rick Tandler of CSN believes Johnson could see significant early-down work for the Redskins this season.

3/18/2010 4:22:00 PM
Description: The Washington Post reports Redskins' head coach Mike Shanahan confirmed Johnson will compete with Clinton Portis for the starting job this year.

3/12/2010 7:29:00 PM
Description: NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports, via Twitter, that the Redskins have signed Johnson to a three-year deal worth a maximum of $12 million.
Insight: Johnson joins Clinton Portis to form a tandem of Redskins' running backs that are past their prime. (
3/11/2010 11:39:00 PM
Description: Jason La Canfora of reports the Redskins are "very interested" in signing Johnson.
Insight: Johnson visited the Redskins on Thursday. If they do sign him, he seems like a virtual carbon copy of Clinton Portis-an aging running back who's best days are behind him. (
3/10/2010 7:33:00 PM
Description: Johnson has been linked to the Raiders.
Insight: The move does make sense on some level as he probably has more left in the tank than the departed Justin Fargas did. However, if he signs there, it scuttles what was a looking like a promising situation for both Darren McFadden and Michael Bush. (

Insight: The Bengals rushed with Benson and only Benson in the game as Johnson remained on the bench. (
1/8/2010 8:13:00 PM
Description: Johnson (knee) is listed as questionable for Saturday.
Insight: He's been dealing with soreness, but he did practice both Thursday and Friday, so the odds of him playing are good. However, he probably won't see all that much action unless something happens to Cedric Benson. (
1/5/2010 12:01:00 AM
Description: Johnson rushed nine times for 38 yards on Sunday against the Jets.
Insight: Johnson saw a larger role on Sunday with the Bengals' resting Cedric Benson. (
12/28/2009 8:13:00 AM
Description: Johnson rushed four times for 11 yards on Sunday against the Chiefs.
Insight: Johnson was facing his former team but Benson was still the workhorse for the Bengals. He has limited fantasy value in Week 17 against the Jets. (
