Description: Ricky Williams has hinted that he would come out of retirement if the Chargers made him an offer.
Insight: If Williams went to San Diego he would be playing behind Ryan Mathews, with Le'Ron McClain a candidate for some short yardage carries. Who knows if a return is realistic for Williams but remember, he has already unretired once in his career.

Description: The Miami Herald reports that Williams doesn't expect to return to the Dolphins in 2011 and hasn't been in contact with the team this winter.
Insight: The team has publicly stated a plan to let Williams walk, but it looks like Miami would like to upgrade an aging (Williams) and injury-prone (Ronnie Brown) backfield. Williams was awesome in 2009 and could still be valuable in the right situation. (RapidDraft.com)

Insight: Williams said that he has found the "right formula to stay healthy, to stay happy and to stay successful." Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland said he will try to bring back either Williams or Ronnie Brown for next season, but Williams would be the more reliable and cheaper option of the two.

12/27/2010 10:01:00 AM
Description: Williams ran for 71 yards on 14 carries Sunday, adding 21 more yards on two receptions.
Insight: Williams was once again the more productive runner than Ronnie Brown, which continues to beg the question of why Williams has not gotten more work throughout this season of poor Miami rushing. (RapidDraft.com)

12/6/2010 12:02:00 PM
Description: Williams carried 10 times for 48 yards against Cleveland on Sunday, adding 19 more yards on two receptions.
Insight: It was another uneventful fantasy day for Williams, though yet another game in which he proved more productive per touch than Ronnie Brown. With more work Williams could be fantasy relevant, but both players should be ignored. (RapidDraft.com)

11/20/2010 2:02:00 PM
Description: Williams touched the ball just four times on Thursday night, taking three rushes for 1 total yard and catching one pass.
Insight: When a team can't run the ball at all, it's No. 2 running back (or 1A, if you prefer) doesn't make much fantasy sense. (RapidDraft.com)

11/7/2010 7:02:00 PM
Description: Williams garnered just two carries for 1 yard against Baltimore on Sunday.
Insight: Well, at least we weren't going in expecting much from him against Baltimore. (RapidDraft.com)

10/5/2010 2:02:00 AM
Description: Williams carried eight times to lead the team with 56 yards on the ground Monday night. He also caught four passes for 44 yards and a touchdown.
Insight: Williams can still get it done but can't hope for more than a 50-50 split on carries unless Ronnie Brown gets hurt. (RapidDraft.com)

9/29/2010 9:05:00 PM
Description: Williams has fumbled in consecutive games, which concerns head coach Tony Sparano, according to the Miami Herald.
Insight: That's the kind of thing a team might let its primary back work through, but in Miami's case it should mean greater trust in Ronnie Brown. Brown, by the way, has fumbled just three times since 2006. (RapidDraft.com)

9/27/2010 12:37:00 PM
Description: According to Dolphins HC Tony Sparano, there is concern regarding RB Ricky Williams' recent fumbling issues. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: In the last two weeks, Williams has two fumbles, one of which was lost. He also had another one that was eventually overturned. The fumbling issues is good news for Ronnie Brown owners, especially if Williams continues the trend.

9/19/2010 11:04:00 PM
Description: Williams gained just 30 yards on his 10 carries Sunday at Minnesota.
Insight: Considering he was facing the Vikings' generally top-shelf run defense, fantasy owners shouldn't have gone in expecting much more. (RapidDraft.com)

9/13/2010 10:02:00 PM
Description: Williams carried 18 times for 62 yards in the opening victory at Buffalo.
Insight: It's nice for those who drafted him that Williams garnered that much work in the first game, but the production was disappointing against what has been one of the league's weakest run defenses in recent seasons. Williams will be a risky starter because of his split backfield, but at least he carries upside. (RapidDraft.com)

8/18/2010 4:01:00 PM
Description: Dolphins RB Ricky Williams would reportedly like an extension to stay in Miami through the 2011 season. SOURCE: ESPN.COM
Insight: Considering how reliable Williams was last year, we wouldn't be surprised to see Miami grant him one more year. With Ronnie Brown's bones made of glass, Williams could be called upon quite a bit again this year. He likely won't put up the numbers he did last year, but he is as big a handcuff as you can get for Brown owners.

6/22/2010 8:37:00 PM
Description: ESPN's John Clayton believes Ricky Williams has a better chance than Ronnie Brown of returning to the Dolphins in 2011.
Insight: Cosidering he has less wear and tear on his body than many other running backs, it's conceivable that Williams could play next year. However, at 34, the odds of him being highly fantasy relevant are pretty long. (SportsBuff.com)

5/20/2010 8:13:00 PM
Description: "It is no secret" that agent Drew Rosenhaus is advising Ricky Williams to play beyond 2010, according to the Miami Herald.
Insight: Williams has been relatively healthy throughout his career and he did take a couple of years off. When you add in that he still has a lot of debt to pay off, it's pretty likely that you'll see him playing beyond that point. (sportsBuff.com)

4/26/2010 10:31:00 PM
Description: Ricky Williams says he is "unsure" about whether he'll continue playing football past 2010.
Insight: It's a shame as he lost a couple of prime years while training to become some sort of a healer. Williams should another decent fantasy campaign ahead of him this year. (SportsBuff.com)

1/6/2010 8:42:00 AM
Description: Williams rushed 12 times for 31 yards and caught three passes for four yards on Sunday against Pittsburgh.
Insight: Williams declined big time at the end of the season as he failed to top 40 rushing yards in both of his last two games. He was still able to rush for 1,121 yards and 11 touchdowns this season. (SportsBuff.com)

1/1/2010 8:09:00 PM
Description: Williams (shoulder) is listed as questionable this week.
Insight: Even if he does play, he's facing Pittsburgh's crushing run defense. Avoid the whole situation and find someone else. (SportsBuff.com)

12/28/2009 10:34:00 PM
Description: Williams rushed 10 times for 35 yards and caught five passes for 26 yards on Sunday against the Texans before leaving the game with a right shoulder injury.
Insight: Williams returned late in the game and added a reception but it remains to be seen if he will be healthy enough to play in Week 17. (SportsBuff.com)

12/21/2009 8:12:00 AM
Description: Williams rushed 19 times for 80 yards and a touchdown against the Titans on Sunday. He also caught three passes for nine yards.
Insight: Williams rushed for a touchdown for a second straight game and now has 11 total on the season. (SportsBuff.com)
