Description: Domenik Hixon was let go by the Bears on Tuesday. SOURCE: Jeff Dickerson, ESPN Chicago
Insight: The two sides agreed to an injury settlement. He won't play this season after tearing his ACL in OTAs last week. The 29-year-old has caught 109 passes for 1,460 yards and seven touchdowns while playing for four teams during his six-year career.

4/3/2013 8:47:00 PM
Description: According to Jason La Canfora from CBS Sports, wide receiver Domenik Hixon has agreed to a one-year contract with the Panthers.
Insight: It was easy for Eli Manning to forget about Hixon with Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz around in New York. Carolina should be a much friendlier fantasy setting for the 28-year-old.

11/21/2012 11:28:00 AM
Description: Giants receiver Domenik Hixon, who injured his ankle against Cincinnati, has still not returned to the practice field even after a bye week, according to Jenny Vrentas of the Star-Ledger.
Insight: Hixon is listed as questionable, but we think it's leaning more toward doubtful and we are expecting Rueben Randle to man the No. 3 role behind Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks.

11/11/2012 1:54:00 PM
Description: Giants receiver Domenik Hixon left Sunday's game against the Bengals with an ankle injury.
Insight: He's questionable to return after heading to the locker room for X-rays.

10/4/2012 5:24:00 PM
Description: Giants receiver Domenik Hixon could be heavily targeted again in Week 5 if Ramses Barden sits with a concussion.
Insight: The Giants can replace injured stars as well as any team in the league. With Hakeem Nicks and Hixon out in Week 3, Barden had a field day against the Panthers, but Hixon was ahead of Barden on the depth chart last Sunday and had six catches for 114 yards. Start him as a WR3 this week with Nicks out with a knee injury and Barden concussed.

9/19/2012 2:19:00 PM
Description: Giants No. 3 wideout Domenik Hixon, who suffered a concussion against Tampa Bay, has been ruled out of New York's Thursday night contest with Carolina, according to Mike Garafalo of USA Today.
Insight: All the more reason to start tight end Martellus Bennet along with wideouts Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz.

9/17/2012 11:35:00 AM
Description: Giants No. 3 wideout Domenik Hixon suffered a concussion and isn't likely to be ready for New York's Thursday night contest with Carolina.
Insight: Hixon was targeted five times in the Giants opener, fourth on the team behind Victor Cruz, Hakeem Nicks and tight end Martellus Bennett. Ramses Barden figures to benefit from increased playing time, but isn't likely to reach fantasy-worthy status.

9/2/2012 2:40:00 PM
Description: According to Jorge Castillo of the Newark Star-Ledger, Giants OC Kevin Gilbride said Domenik Hixon will start the season as the team's No. 3 receiver.
Insight: Hixon has played in just two games in the last two seasons due to multiple knee injuries. He's not much of a fantasy option, as he's likely just a figurehead third receiver instead of someone who will actually compete for major targets. Expect Eli Manning to spread the departed Mario Manningham's targets around to Hixon, Rueben Randle, Jerrel Jernigan, Ramses Barden and Martellus Bennett.

Insight: His second blown out knee in 15 months and this leaves New York without a slot receiver. Victor Cruz and Brandon Stokely will share reps in the slot, while Hixon ends his season with four catches and 50 yards.

Description: Updating a previous item, Ralph Vacchiano of the NY Daily News reports (via Twitter) tha Hixon (right knee) will miss the entire 2010 season with a torn right ACL.
Insight: Hixon's loss will hurt the Giants' special teams, as he averaged 15.1 yards per punt return in 2009 (2nd in the league). WR Mario Manningham may replace him as the Giants' primary punt returner. (SportsBuff.com)

Description: Updating a previous item, Ralph Vacchiano of the NY Daily News reports (via Twitter) that Giants' GM Jerry Reese said Hixon (knee) suffered a right knee hyperextension on Tuesday.

12/22/2009 11:05:00 AM
Description: Hixon had two receptions for 21 yards in the New York's win over Washington on Monday night.
Insight: Hixon is simply too far down the depth chart to make a big impact in the Giants' offense. (SportsBuff.com)

Probable10/15/2009 5:39:00 PM
Description: According to the Newark Star Ledger, Hixon (right knee) said he's healthy enough to resume his role as the Giants' kick and punt returner.

10/14/2009 5:35:00 PM

Questionable10/7/2009 9:25:00 PM
Description: According to Giants.com, Hixon (right knee) was limited during Wednesday's practice.

Out10/2/2009 6:00:00 PM
Description: According to Ralph Vacchiano of the NY Daily News, via Twitter, Hixon (right knee) has been ruled out for Week 4 against Kansas City.
Insight: Hixon is basically week-to-week with a knee sprain. He is falling down the Giants' WR depth chart, and may have a hard time getting playing time once he is healthy enough to play. (SportsBuff.com)

Questionable9/30/2009 8:36:00 PM
Description: According to the NY Daily News, Hixon (knee) practiced on a limited basis on Wednesday.
Insight: Even if he is ready to go for Sunday's game against Kansas City, Hixon has fallen behind Steve Smith and Mario Manningham in the Giants' WR pecking order and the pending return of rookie Hakeem Nicks (foot sprain) could further reduce his playing time. (SportsBuff.com)
