Rogers to run William & Mary offense

Williamsburg, VA - Kevin Rogers was a part of William and Mary football coach Jimmye Laycock's original staff in 1980. He has returned as the Tribe's new offensive coordinator.

Rogers, who played linebacker at W&M from 1971-73, was the Tribe's running backs coach from 1980-82. Laycock has been the team's head coach since 1980.

Rogers has spent nearly 30 years as a Division I coach and served as the Minnesota Vikings' quarterbacks coach for five seasons from 2006-11. Most recently, he was Temple's associate head coach and quarterback coach in 2012 and Boston College's offensive coordinator in 2011.

In addition to being named W&M's offensive coordinator, Rogers will serve as the team's quarterbacks coach.

William & Mary will try to improve on a 2-9 season, including 1-7 in CAA Football.
