Insight: The latest baseball rumors have Colon returning to the Angels, but in order for that to happen, every team must pass on claiming him. With Garrett Richards out, it is likely some AL team puts in a claim for Colon just to prevent the Angels from getting him. Colon is 11-10 with 3.85 ERA and 125 strikeouts this season. was placed on the bereavement list after his mother's passing and he missed his last start. He shouldn't have to miss another one after Sunday's game.

Insight: In an unusual move, Billy Beane opened up his pocket book and forked over $22 million for Kazmir, who figures to be a four or five starter at best. Given the team's tight budget, Colon is probably out of the equation. The 40-year-old had a resurgent season in 2013 and shouldn't have any difficulty securing a new contract.
