Description: Diamondbacks starter Vidal Nuno allowed two runs on five hits and struck out seven in seven innings Monday at Washington.
Insight: The move to the NL has been good for Nuno even though he hasn't won a game in eight starts with Arizona. He's recorded a 3.72 ERA, a 1.11 WHIP and 38 Ks in 46 innings since the Yankees traded him to the D-Backs for Brandon McCarthy.

Description: Vidal Nuno allowed just three hits and struck out seven over seven shutout innings Tusday against Miami in his Diamondbacks debut.
Insight: The Yankees dealt him to Arizona for Brandon McCarthy this past weekend. The left-hander should do better in the NL, but Chase Field isn't exactly a good place for a soft-tossing fly-ball pitcher like Nuno.

Insight: Nuno's start on Sunday at Tampa Bay -- five innings, zero runs, six strikeouts -- was supposed to be a spot start but ended up being an audition after Ivan Nova's MRI revealed a torn UCL in his elbow. Nuno has compiled a 2.84 ERA in 428 career minor league innings and went 1-1 with a 2.12 ERA in three starts for the Bronx Bombers last season, but he's a non-prospect who should only be added in very deep leagues.

Description: Yankees farm hand Vidal Nuno is pitching very well for Triple-A Scranton-Wilkes-Barre and might get a call up if the big club's starting rotation suffers any injuries.
Insight: Nuno is 2-0 with a 1.54 ERA and a stunning 0.64 WHIP. The most impressive part of his statistics is 26 strikeouts against just two walks in 23 1/3 innings pitched.
