Description: Phillies starter Jonathan Pettibone (shoulder) will make a rehab start on Thursday, according to beat reporter Jim Salisbury.
Insight: Pettibone was eligible to return on Aug 13, but that obviously didn't happen. He's pitched well at times, but has been inconsistent with a 5-4 record, 4.04 ERA and 1.47 WHIP. He has little fantasy value.

Description: Phillies starter Jonathan Pettibone has been moved to the disabled list.
Insight: The Phillies are calling his injury a strained right shoulder though in reality, he's dealing with a dead arm. The roster move was backdated to July 29th, meaning that Pettibone is eligible to return on August 13th.

Insight: Pettibone (6 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 1 K's) had been in line for the win but the Mets came back to tie the game at seven with two runs in the ninth. We'll see if he's able to make his next start Thursday against the Dodgers.

Description: Phillies rookie Jonathan Pettibone moved to 3-0 with 6 2/3 strong innings Tuesday against the Indians.
Insight: The 22-year-old allowed four hits and two earned and walked two Tuesday night in the longest start of his career. The right-hander has a 3.41 ERA and a 1.28 WHIP and has thrown at least five innings while allowing three earned runs or less in all five of his starts.

Description: Phillies manager Charlie Manuel will go back to rookie Jonathan Pettibone to start Saturday against the Mets. SOURCE: Philadelphia Inquirer
Insight: Pettibone, 22, held the Pirates to two runs in 5 1/3 innings in his major league debut Monday, but the team initially didn't commit to him as a member of the rotation. He should stick around until John Lannan returns and will make for an NL-only fantasy option.

4/22/2013 1:12:00 PM
Description: The Phillies have called up right-hander Jonathan Pettibone to take injured starter John Lannan's spot in the rotation.
Insight: Pettibone has done nothing in his first couple of outings down at Lehigh Valley to make fantasy owners want to take a shot on him. He's 0-1 with a 9.64 ERA in two starts. He was 13-8 last season with a 3.10 ERA, but he's not a strikeout guy and fantasy owners should take a wait-and-see attitude before putting him on a roster.
