Insight: Span has gone hitless in his last 18 at-bats and his average is down to .262 with a .684 OPS. He does have 41 runs scored and nine steals. It's possible when Bryce Harper is ready to return that Harper will play center and leave Ryan Zimmerman in left which would end Span's usefulness for fantasy owners.

Insight: Span suffered a concussion Friday against Atlanta. Nate McLouth would start but knee soreness is keeping him out of the lineup too. Span also suffered a concussion back in 2011 but he insists this one isn't as bad.
