Description: Rockies starter Jordan Lyles left Sunday's game after re-aggravating his left big toe sprain.
Insight: He left after 1 1/3 innings of work. Lyles allowed one run on two hits and two strikeouts before departing. He has a 5.14 ERA overall.
Cold5/29/2015 10:14:00 AM
Description: Rockies starter Jordan Lyles (toe) will miss his next scheduled start on Friday.
Insight: Oh no! How will fantasy owners survive without their 2-5 pitcher with a 5.10 ERA and 1.49 WHIP? In five seasons he's never had a winning record or an ERA under 4.33, so fantasy owners probably don't care about this injury.

Description: Rockies starter Jordan Lyles (hand) will start Wednesday against the Cubs.
Insight: Lyles fractured his hand in June. He'll return to a 5-1 record, 3.52 ERA and 1.30 WHIP in 69 innings and is no more than a low-end fantasy option due to his low strikeout rate. Franklin Morales will move back to the bullpen to make room for Lyles.

Description: Rockies starter Jordan Lyles suffered a broken left hand when he collided with Diamondbacks third baseman Martin Prado at home plate on Wednesday.
Insight: After posting an ERA above 5.00 in each of the last three years with Houston, Lyles has gone 5-1 with a 3.52 ERA and a 1.30 WHIP this season. He fractured his glove hand, so he may be able to return sooner than if it was his pitching hand. However, he's still out indefinitely.
Hot5/10/2014 10:32:00 PM
Description: Rockies starter Jordan Lyles ran his record to 5-0 Saturday at Cincinnati.
Insight: Lyles has a 2.66 ERA and a 32/14 K/BB in 50 2/3 innings this season and has given up just three homers, which seems unlikely to continue because he pitches in Coors Field and had a 1.2 HR/9 prior to this season. He does have a career-high 55.4 percent ground-ball rate, which is a good way to decrease home runs, but he's had good luck with a .253 BABIP. Mixed league owners can't trust him.
4/19/2014 10:55:00 PM
Description: Rockies starter Jordan Lyles is 3-0 with a 3.42 ERA and a 1.14 WHIP in 23 2/3 innings this season.
Insight: Lyles held the Phillies to one earned run over seven innings Saturday. He had an ERA above 5.00 in each of his first three seasons, all with the Astros. Lyles did have a 3.22 ERA in his first 58 2/3 innings last year but had a 7.27 ERA in his last 83 innings and shouldn't be owned in most leagues despite the solid start to 2014.
Cold7/21/2013 6:30:00 PM
Description: Astros starter Jordan Lyles has given up 35 hits and 24 earned runs over his last 26 innings.
Insight: Lyles went 3-0 with a 1.61 ERA in seven starts from May 17 to June 18, but he has come back to reality over his last five turns. He gave up 10 runs (nine earned) on eight hits over four innings Sunday against the Mariners.
Cold6/29/2013 10:00:00 PM
Description: Astros starter Jordan Lyles has had two straight poor outings after allowing two earned runs or less in seven straight starts.
Insight: Lyles lowered his ERA to 3.22 after his start on June 18, but he has allowed 15 hits and nine earned runs in nine innings over his last two starts.
Hot6/19/2013 9:26:00 AM
Description: Astros starter Jordan Lyles turned in his third straight start of seven innings and two runs or less Tuesday against the Brewers in a 10-1 victory.
Insight: Lyles had an 8.36 ERA after his first three starts, but the righty is 3-0 with a 1.61 ERA and a 33/10 K/BB in 44 2/3 innings over his last seven. The former prospect seems to be finally figuring things out.
Hot6/13/2013 10:00:00 AM
Description: Astros starter Jordan Lyles is 2-0 with a 1.67 ERA and a 28/10 K/BB in 37 2/3 innings over his last six starts.
Insight: Lyles two-hit the Mariners and struck out 10 over seven scoreless frames Wednesday night in a no decision. The right-hander is a former top-100 prospect who seems to have put things together for the first time in his career. He's worth a look in AL-only leagues, and can be used in favorable matchups in deep mixed leagues.
9/30/2012 7:02:00 PM
Description: Houston starter Jordan Lyles finished up the 2012 season with his best outing of the year. He tossed his first career complete game shutout, limiting the Brewers to only four hits and a walk.
Insight: Lyles even got a little run support as the Astros provided him with seven runs to work with. Despite the strong outing, Lyles is still only 5-12 for the year with a 5.09 ERA and probably won't warrant much consideration in next year's fantasy draft.
