Norris helps A's beat Rangers

Oakland, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Derek Norris didn't start, but he made the most of his opportunity when called upon.

Norris finished 2-for-2 with a homer and five RBI to help the Oakland Athletics fend off the Texas Rangers, 10-6, in the second tilt of a three-game set.

Stephen Vogt went 3-for-3 with two RBI, while Coco Crisp and Alberto Callaspo added an RBI apiece for Oakland, which has won three of four.

Tommy Milone (5-3) continued his recent success, earning the win after allowing three runs on five hits over 5 2/3 innings.

Milone is 5-0 in his last eight starts, with the A's winning in his last six appearances.

Texas starter Yu Darvish had trouble once again with Oakland, surrendering seven runs -- four earned -- on eight hits and an unlikely five walks over five-plus innings.

Darvish entered the game with an 0-7 record and 5.32 ERA in his last eight starts against the A's.

Rougned Odor had a homer and a triple, knocking in three runs for the Rangers, who had won four of five coming in.
