Myers, Rays top Yankees

Bronx, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Wil Myers knocked in four runs, three of which came on an inside-the-park homer, to back six solid innings out of Erik Bedard in the Tampa Bay Rays' 5-1 victory over the New York Yankees.

Myers added an RBI double, one of 10 hits let up by CC Sabathia in the struggling lefty's 3 2/3-inning stint, to help the Rays claim the rubber match of this three-game series and wrap up a 10-game road trip at 5-5.

Bedard (1-1) did his part as well, yielding just one run on six hits and a walk to notch his first win as a starter since June 26 of last season.

Sabathia (3-4) allowed all five Tampa Bay runs in his shortest outing of the year, which raised his ERA to 5.75 and sent the Yankees to a fourth loss in five games.

Desmond Jennings finished 3-for-4 with a run scored in the triumph, with Logan Forsythe collecting two hits while scoring twice and Evan Longoria contributing an RBI double.
