White Sox rip Texas

Arlington, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Marcus Semien went 4-for-6 with four RBI to help the Chicago White Sox secure a 16-2 win over the Texas Rangers in the finale of a three-game set Sunday at Globe Life Park.

Jordan Danks and Jose Abreu each belted a two-run homer, while Dayan Viciedo added a solo shot, scored three times and plated a pair of runs for the White Sox, who snapped a four-game losing streak.

Erik Johnson (1-1) picked up the win after limiting Texas to two runs -- one earned -- on one hit with five walks over five frames.

Texas starter Robbie Ross Jr. (1-1) was knocked around for seven runs -- four earned -- on seven hits while striking out eight over 5 1/3 innings to absorb the loss.

Luis Sardinas made his major league debut in the setback and collected one of the two hits for the Rangers, who had won five straight.
