Four-run 12th sends Yankees past Rays

St. Petersburg, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Yankees scored four runs in the 12th inning Sunday to beat the Tampa Bay Rays 5-1 and earn a split of their four-game series.

New York's win came a day after it lost right-hander Ivan Nova to an elbow injury in a 16-1 defeat.

Yankees shortstop Dean Anna, who pitched in the eighth inning Saturday after things got out of hand, walked on Sunday to force in the winning run. Carlos Beltran added a two-run single and Alfonso Soriano had an RBI hit in the 12th.
