Antalya, Turkey (Sports Network) - Madelene Sagstrom and Daniela Holmqvist combined to shoot 3-under 141 on Thursday to give Sweden a one-stroke lead after the first round of the Women's World Amateur Team.

Sagstrom and Holmqvist both played the New Course at Gloria Golf Club. Holmqvist carded a 3-under 69 to match the low round of the day.

Latvia's team carded a 2-under 142 and is alone in second place.

Japan's squad played on the Old Course at Gloria Golf Club, and carded a one- under 143. They share third place with Canada, Czech Republic, Spain and New Zealand.
