Background
Joe                            Rubin                    Though he played behind Ryan Fuqua for three seasons, Rubin contributed greatly to a Portland State team that led the Big Sky with more than 200 yards per game on the ground. Rubin ran for 825 yards and seven touchdowns in 2004, and posted a 5.0 yard per carry average. In five starts, Rubin eclipsed the 100-yard mark on four occasions, with a career-high 167 yards and a touchdown in a loss to Eastern Washington.
