NCAA Game Summary - Syracuse at Cincinnati

Final Score: Syracuse 31, Cincinnati 7

Cincinnati, OH (Sports Network) - Ryan Nassib threw a pair of touchdown passes to lead the Syracuse Orange to a 31-7 victory over the Cincinnati Bearcats in Big East Conference action.

Antwon Bailey caught a touchdown pass and ran for another score in the triumph for Syracuse (6-2, 3-1 Big East), which is 6-2 for the first time since 2001.

Chazz Anderson threw for 148 yards and ran for 66 yards in defeat for Cincinnati (3-5, 1-2). The team's first-string quarterback, Zach Collaros, missed the contest with a leg injury.

After a scoreless first quarter, Syracuse took control of the game with 17 unanswered points during a five-minute span in the second stanza. Nassib tossed a three-yard touchdown pass to Van Chew to begin the run, and Ryan Bartholew recovered a fumble in the end zone for the second score. Ross Krautman pushed the advantage to 17-0 with a 26-yard field goal midway through the frame.

Cincinnati finally got on the board with 4:52 remaining in the first half, as Anderson threw a 33-yard touchdown pass to D.J. Woods to cut the deficit to 17-7.

Midway through the third quarter, Syracuse pushed its lead to 24-7 on a five- yard touchdown pass from Nassib to Bailey.

With 7:31 left in the contest, Bailey reached the end zone again, this time on a one-yard touchdown run that extended the score to its final of 31-7.

Delone Carter certainly helped the cause for Syracuse, as the tailback ran for 109 yards.

The Orange secured their third Big East road victory for the first time since 2001.
