NCAA Game Summary - Utah State at Texas A&M

Final Score: Texas A&M 38, Utah State 30

College Station, TX (Sports Network) - Uzoma Nwachukwu scored four touchdowns on four offensive touches to lead the Texas A&M Aggies to a 38-30 victory over the Utah State Aggies in a non-conference clash.

Jerrod Johnson threw for 322 yards and four touchdowns for Texas A&M (2-0).

Diondre Borel threw for 344 yards and a touchdown in defeat for Utah State (0-2).

Utah State struck first in the contest, as Robert Turbin raced 50 yards for a touchdown to give his team a 7-0 lead.

Texas A&M tied the game at 7-7 midway through the first quarter on a 35-yard touchdown pass from Johnson to Nwachukwu.

Utah State answered back with an eight-play, 82-yard drive, capped by a one- yard touchdown plunge by Borel.

Once again, Texas A&M had the answer, as a 39-yard touchdown run by Nwachukwu made the score 14-14 after one quarter of play.

The second quarter was dominated by Texas A&M, which got a 31-yard field goal from Randy Bullock and a 16-yard touchdown pass from Johnson to Nwachukwu en route to a 24-14 halftime lead.

Early in the third quarter, Chris Ulinski hit a 42-yard field goal to cut the Utah State deficit to 24-17.

Nwachukwu proved once again to be unstoppable, as he hauled in a 50-yard scoring strike from Johnson to extend the Texas A&M lead to 31-17.

On the first play of the fourth quarter, A&M capped a 17-play, 78-yard drive with a 10-yard touchdown pass from Johnson to Ryan Tannenhill, making the score 38-17.

The two teams combined for 61 first downs and 1,094 yards of total offense. Texas A&M didn't commit a single turnover, and that was the difference.
