NCAA Game Summary - Washington at Oregon State

Final Score: Oregon State 48, Washington 21

Corvallis, OR (Sports Network) - Sean Canfield threw 185 yards and four touchdown passes to lead the Oregon State Beavers to a decisive 48-21 victory over the Washington Huskies in a Pac-10 matchup at Reser Stadium.

Canfield paced the Beavers (7-3, 5-2 Pac-10) with a 21-for-29 day under center in the win, while Jacquizz Rodgers ran for 159 yards and a pair of touchdowns on just 19 totes.

Jake Locker threw for 153 yards with three touchdowns to lead Washington (3-7, 2-5) in the loss, while Chris Polk ran for 116 yards. Jermaine Kearse grabbed five passes for 70 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns as well for the Huskies.

Oregon State took an early 7-0 lead with a three-yard toss from Canfield to Joe Halahuni.

The Beavers added a pair of 44-yard Justin Kahut field goals late in the opening period and early in the second quarter to extend their advantage to 13-0.

A six-yard strike from Canfield to James Rodgers midway through the period made it 20-0 in favor of Oregon State.

The Huskies finally got into the action with a three-yard scoring pass from Locker to Kearse late in the frame, but the Beavers responded with a 10-yard toss from Canfield to Rodgers to take a 27-7 lead into the break.

Rodgers gave the Aggies a 41-7 lead with runs from one and eight yards out in the third period.

Locker got the Huskies into the end zone again early in the final period of play with a 39-yard strike to Kearse.

But the Beavers responded less than a minute later with a five-yard Canfield toss to Halahuni.

With under a minute remaining in the contest, Locker completed a 26-yard scoring pass to Kavario Middleton to account for the final score of the contest.
