NCAA Game Summary - Arizona at Washington

Final Score: Washington 36, Arizona 33

Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - Mason Foster returned an interception 37 yards for a touchdown with 2:37 remaining in the fourth quarter to lift the Washington Huskies to a 36-33 victory in a thrilling Pac-10 Conference affair.

Jake Locker threw three touchdown passes and ran for another score for Washington (3-3, 2-1 Pac-10), which is vastly improved from last season's 0-12 campaign.

Nick Foles threw for 384 yards for Arizona (3-2, 1-1), but his two interceptions late in the fourth quarter proved to be extremely costly.

The score was tied at 7-7 after one quarter of play, as both teams managed a rushing touchdown in the opening stanza. After Greg Nwoko opened the scoring for Arizona with a 12-yard scamper, Locker exploded for a 56-yard touchdown run.

Arizona took a 10-7 lead on the first play of the second quarter, as Alex Zendejas drilled an 18-yard field goal.

Washington fought back with a five-yard touchdown pass from Locker to Devin Aguilar, enabling the Huskies to hold a 14-10 lead at the break.

Arizona scored 17 unanswered points to open the third quarter and grab a 27-14 advantage. Foles threw a nine-yard touchdown pass to David Roberts and also had a one-yard touchdown run. In between, Zendejas had a 23-yard field goal.

The Huskies managed to cut their deficit to 27-21 with 2:04 remaining in that third quarter on a 29-yard touchdown pass from Locker to Aguilar.

Zendejas nailed field goals from 29 and 24 yards out in the fourth quarter to make the score 33-21 in favor of Arizona with 4:22 left in the game.

Locker tossed a 25-yard touchdown pass to Kavario Middleton with 2:55 remaining, cutting the deficit to 33-28. Seconds late, the Huskies took the lead on Foster's big interception, which bounced off an Arizona player's foot.

Locker led Washington with 92 rushing yards on 11 carries.
