GAME NOTES: Indiana State graces the Hulman Center for just the third time this season, as the Sycamores welcome the IUPUI Jaguars for a non-conference tilt.

The Sycamores are coming off a three-game road trip that ended in an 83-66 loss at Saint Louis, this coming after four consecutive wins. In Wednesday's game, the Billikens came out strong after the break by making 57.9 percent of their field goal tries and draining 6-of-10 from behind the 3-point line. Saint Louis also made 21 free throws in the second half, and the Sycamores' 53.8 percent shooting effort after the break went for naught.

Manny Arop scored 16 points in the loss, while Justin Gant and Khristian Smith scored 12 points apiece. Indiana State has shown it can light up the scoreboard this season, scoring 80 or more points in five of its 10 games. The Sycamores are getting it done with a slew of scorers, with five players averaging at least 9.8 ppg. Jake Odum leads the way with 12.7 ppg, and is also pulling down 4.5 rpg while handing out a team-high 47 assists overall. Gant is next in line with 12.6 ppg while connecting on 52.6 percent of his total shots.

IUPUI is coming off a disappointing 62-56 home loss to Nicholls State, a game that saw the Jaguars miss all 12 of their 3-point attempts. IUPUI also held a four-point lead down the stretch, but Nicholls ended the contest on a 14-4 run to escape with a win. It marked the second straight game the Jags scored in the 50s, following its 86-50 setback at Marquette last Saturday. The two losses come on the heels of a promising three-game win streak after the Jags started the season in a 1-7 hole.

Ian Chiles has scored in double figures in every game this season and is filling it up at 18.1 ppg. He scored 13 points in the most recent outing, but made just 5-of-12 from the floor. Mitch Patton posted a team-high 15 points, while Marcellus Barksdale logged a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Patton (11.1 ppg) and Khufu Najee (10.1) are the only other double-digit scorers for a team that isn't even cracking 70 points per game (69.1). A lack of interior depth has hurt the Jaguars, as they are getting outrebound by 4.3 boars per contest.

Indiana State is 2-0 inside the Hulman Center this season and has won three of the five meetings against IUPUI, including a 75-60 decision in Indianapolis last season. Except a similar outcome this time, as the Jaguars simply won't be able to keep up with the Sycamores.

Sports Network Predicted Outcome: Indiana State 80, IUPUI 63
