Little Rock, AR (Sports Network) - Augustine Rubit registered a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead the South Alabama Jaguars to a 70-66 victory over the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans in a Sun Belt Conference clash at the Jack Stephens Center.

The Jaguars hit 44 percent from the floor in the opening period and knocked down 11-of-13 free throws to take a 36-26 advantage into the locker room.

After just three bench points in the first half, the Trojans' reserves erupted for 19 second-half points to get them back into the game. Trailing 64-56 with 2:49 remaining, Kemy Osse hit a triple which was followed by a three-point play by Dillard to bring UALR to within two.

After empty possessions each way, Ammons converted a layup to give the Jaguars some breathing room. Allen followed with a transition basket to put the game away after Ammons blocked a Hagins' layup attempt with 42 seconds remaining.

South Alabama improved to 25-19 all-time against UALR.
