Liberty acquire Cash from Dream for Milton-Jones

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Liberty have acquired forward Swin Cash from the Atlanta Dream in exchange for forward Delisha Milton-Jones.

Cash reunites with Liberty coach and general manager Bill Laimbeer, who she was with for six seasons and two WNBA championships in 2003 and '06 as a member of the Detroit Shock.

The 34-year-old Cash was traded to Seattle before the 2008 season. She helped Seattle win the title in 2010.

Cash, a four-time All-Star (2003, 2005, 2009, 2011), has appeared in 399 career games with Detroit, Seattle, Chicago and Atlanta, averaging 11.9 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists. In 49 WNBA playoff games, she has posted 10.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists per contest.

Milton-Jones will be reunited with Dream coach Michael Cooper, with whom she won WNBA titles in 2001 and 2002. She was drafted fourth overall out of Florida by Los Angeles in the 1999 WNBA Draft, and played the first six seasons of her career with the Sparks, who were coached from 2000-04 by Cooper.

"We are excited to add Delisha to our roster as we continue to seek a WNBA Championship," said Dream president and general manager Angela Taylor. "Delisha is very familiar with Coach Cooper's system, fits our offensive and defensive philosophies, and brings a championship pedigree to our locker room. We thank Swin for the positive impact she has made on our team and in the Atlanta community."

Milton-Jones has averaged 11.5 points and 5.3 rebounds in 480 career games with Los Angeles, Washington, San Antonio and New York.
