Game On Dude to arrive Wednesday for Clark Handicap

Louisville, KY (SportsNetwork.com) - Game On Dude will arrive at Churchill Downs on Wednesday from California for his start in Friday's $500,000 Clark Handicap.

Trained by Bob Baffert, Game On Dude will be making his first start since finishing ninth as the Breeders' Cup Classic 17-10 favorite on Nov. 2 at Santa Anita. In spite of the loss, the 6-year-old gelding will be the 126 pound highweight for the 1 1/8-mile stakes.

Game On Dude worked four furlongs at Hollywood Park on Sunday in 48 seconds with jockey Martin Garcia riding.

"He worked nice," Baffert said. "He just cruised around there. We didn't do anything real serious with him, but he looked good doing it. Martin Garcia worked him and said he feels great, so we're coming."

The gelding's main competition is expected to come from Breeders' Cup Classic runner-up Will Take Charge who will carry 123 pounds.

The Clark field is also likely to have Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile runner-up Golden Ticket along with Prayer for Relief, Bourbon Courage, Easter Gift and Finnegans Wake. Jaguar Paw is listed as a possible starter.
