Game On Dude highweight for Clark Handicap

Louisville, KY (SportsNetwork.com) - Defeated Breeders' Cup Classic favorite Game On Dude has been installed as the highweight for next Friday's $500,000 Clark Handicap at Churchill Downs.

Trained by Bob Baffert, Game On Dude is the 126 pound highweight of the 19 nominated to the 1 1/8-mile stakes. The 6-year-old gelding won his first five starts of the year before finishing ninth in the Classic.

Earlier in the week, Baffert indicated that the weight assignment will be a factor if the gelding starts in the Clark.

"The weight is a factor," Baffert said. "He's coming off a loss, so I guess he'll get some consideration."

Game On Dude carried 126 pounds in the Classic but won the Hollywood Gold Cup with 127. The gelding is also nominated to the Hawthorne Gold Cup for Saturday, Nov. 30.

The 123 pound second highweight is 3-year-old Will Take Charge, second to Mucho Macho Man in the Classic. Listed at 120 is Golden Ticket, runner-up to Goldencents in the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile.

Other probable Clark starters are Prayer for Relief (118), Bourbon Courage (117), Easter Gift (116), Finnegans Wake (116) with Jaguar Paw (115) as possible.
