The LPGA Tour is in Phoenix, Arizona this week for the first tournament in the United States in 2012, the RR Donnelley LPGA Founders Cup. Jiyai Shin won the season-opening ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open; Inbee Park captured the Honda LPGA Thailand; and Stacy Lewis won the HSBC Women's Champions in Singapore.

The top four players in the world are in the field -- defending champion Yani Tseng, Na Yeon Choi, Lewis and Park. Tseng has two top-3 finishes in three events this year, but has not won a tournament in almost 12 months. Choi has two top-10 finishes in two events this year, while Lewis and Park have already claimed titles.

This tournament is being held at Wildfire Golf Club at JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort and Spa. The Club features two 18-hole courses designed by Hall of Famers Arnold Palmer and Nick Faldo. This event will play a combination of the two courses, with the back nine of the Palmer Course playing as holes 1-9 of the tournament and the back nine of the Faldo Course playing as holes 10-18.

Last year, Tseng carded rounds of 65-70-67-68 to win by one stroke over Choi and Ai Miyazato. She finished at 18-under-par 270 for her second of three LPGA Tour victories in 2012. With the win, Tseng became the fastest LPGA Tour player to reach the $8 million mark in career earnings, doing so in just over four years and 99 events. Lorena Ochoa held the previous mark and it took her three months and 16 events more than Tseng needed.

In 2011, Karrie Webb fired a 6-under 66 in the final round to come from behind and win the inaugural event. Webb finished her 38th LPGA Tour title at 12-under-par 204 for a 1-stroke win over Paula Creamer and Brittany Lincicome. The Australian won for the second straight event, as she also titled in Singapore at the HSBC Women's Champions the week before.

The LPGA Tour travels to California next week for the Kia Classic in Carlsbad, where Tseng won her last LPGA Tour title in 2012.
