Gaudreau said he talked to Hartley and understands its a learning experience that will benefit him in the long run. His teammates have been fully supporting the rookie in the locker room. The Calgary Sun reported Gaudreau looked great in practice on Saturday and should be back in the lineup soon, maybe as early as Sunday.
Description: Blues left wing Jaden Schwartz scored a hat trick on Saturday against the Coyotes as St. Louis routed Arizona, 6-1.
Insight: Schwartz scored a power-play goal about halfway through the second period, an even-strength goal in the first minute of the third period and then another power-play goal with seconds remaining. Schwartz had four points in the game and now has seven on the season.
Description: Devils left winger Mike Cammalleri scored as New Jersey tried to comeback against the Sharks on Saturday but ultimately lost, 4-2.
Insight: Cammalleri finally got the Devils on the board at the 8:00 mark of the third period. Adam Henrique then scored to make the deficit just one, but the Sharks sealed the victory with an empty-net goal.
Description: Blue Jackets left wing Nick Foligno scored a goal and an assist on Saturday against the Senators.
Insight: Foligno also had four shots on net and was plus-one. Despite erasing a 2-0 deficit, the Blue Jackets could not complete the comeback as Senators left winger Mike Hoffman scored in the third period, and Ottawa won, 3-2.
Description: Vancouver left wing Daniel Sedin scored hist first goal of the season on friday night versus Edmonton.
Insight: He added an assist as well, and now has six points on the season. Sedin had a +2 rating, along with the one shot on goal. If he is able to stay healthy, Sedin will be a dynamic fantasy player, yet again.
Description: Red Wings winger Gustav Nyquist continued his strong start to the season Friday against the Maple Leafs.
Insight: He scored his fourth goal of the season and added an assist, to go along with a +2 rating and three shots on goal. Nyquist is playing on detroit's top line, and looks destined for a monster season.
Description: Penguins winger Pascal Dupuis left Thursday night's game on a stretcher after taking a puck off the back of his neck, but according to beat writer Josh Yohe of the Tribune-Review he's already been cleared to play.
Insight: Pretty amazing. Dupuis has four points in the first three games playing with Evgeni Malkin and Brandon Sutter, but they all came in one game against Anaheim.
Description: Anaheim Ducks winger Matt Beleskey has three goals in his last three games
Insight: Beleskey is playing on the top line with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry and fantasy owners should take advantage of this opportunity because it won't last long. on. Dany Heatley could return in about a week and re-take his spot on the top line.
Description: Kings left winger Tanner Pearson had two goals and an assist against the Oilers.
Insight: Los Angeles scored the first six goals of the game on Tuesday with the final two coming from Pearson. Pearson's second goal was on the power play. He was plus-two with two shots on goal and two penalty minutes. Pearson has four goals on the season.
Description: Sabres left wing Marcus Foligno scored twice on Tuesday against the Hurricanes.
Insight: Foligno scored the game's first goal and then he added insurance for Buffalo at the beginning of the third to make the score, 3-1. Carolina rallied, however, to send the game into overtime. Buffalo eventually won on a long shootout that went eight rounds and was finished by Zemgus Girgensons' goal.
Description: Hurricanes left winger Chris Terry scored a goal and added an assist as Carolina lost to Buffalo in a shootout, 4-3.
Insight: Terry scored his second goal of the season on a wrist shot in the third period. That was his only shot on net, and he was plus-two. Terry also scored Carolina's only shooutout goal in eight rounds as Buffalo finally ended the tie on Zemgus Girgensons' score.
Description: Stars winger Jamie Benn was involved in all four of Dallas' goals on Tuesday against the Blue Jackets.
Insight: Benn scored the second goal of the game as Dallas jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first six and a half minutes. Benn also had three assists, a plus-four rating, five penalty minutes and four shots on goal. Dallas won, 4-2.
Description: Rangers winger Rick Nash has scored in each of the first four games of this season.
Insight: Nash leads the NHL with six goals after just four games. He scored two more times on Tuesday against the Islanders for the only goals the Rangers had on the night. Nash will obviously not be able to maintain this production, but the Rangers and fantasy owners alike love the fast start.
Description: Minnesota left wing Zach Parise is off to an impressive start to the season.
Insight: He had a goal Saturday night against Colorado, but what should catch owners' eyes even more, is that Parise now has 19 shots through two games. He has five points on the season, along with a +5 rating. This could be the start of a career-season for Parise.
Description: Jets left wing Evander Kane will at least miss 7-10 games with his knee injury and doctors will reevaluate him in two weeks according to the Winnipeg Sun.
Insight: That is actually positive news because we all know that knee injuries can be pretty tricky. Hopefully, we get some more positive news in two weeks. Kane is an up-and-coming player in the league.
Description: Rangers winger Rick Nash had a big game in the opener.
Insight: He had the game-winning goal in New York's 3-2 victory over the Blues. Nash had three total points (2 goals, 1 assist), four shots on goal, and a +2 rating on Thursday. Solid start to the 2014-15 season.
Description: Penguins winger Pascal Dupuis tied a career-high with four points on Thursday against the Ducks.
Insight: Dupuis scored to make the game 3-0 midway through the first period. Dupuis then added an assist on a Sidney Crosby power play goal and another helper on Brandon Sutter's short-handed goal. Dupuis also had five shots and was plus-three.
Description: Lightning winger Jonathan Drouin is expected to make team once he returns from a thumb injury, which won't be in time for the season opener.
Insight: The third overall pick of the 2013 draft is dealing with fracture, which should keep him sidelined for another 1-2 weeks. As of now Drouin is penciled in, as the left wing on Tampa's top line. If he is able to stay there, Drouin holds major sleeper potential.
Description: Nashville left wing Viktor Stalberg (lower body) has been placed on the injured reserve.
Insight: Stalberg was expected to miss 2-4 weeks from the time of the injury and could return after another 10 days or so. he totaled just 18 points in 70 games last season and has little value to fantasy owners even when healthy. Nashville is a bit short-handed on the left side with Matt Cullen also sidelined.
