Description: 76ers guard Jason Richardson drained four 3-pointers in a loss Wednesday versus Milwaukee.
Insight: He finished with a team-high 16 points and shot 6-of-11 from the field overall. Richardson also recorded four rebounds, two assists, and one steal. He will not be a relevant option, but it is nice to see him back in action.
Description: The 76ers claimed forward Thomas Robinson off waivers.
Insight: This is noteworthy because Robinson should find himself in Philadelphia's rotation rather quickly. In fact, do not be surprised if Robinson ends up in the 76ers starting lineup in the near future. Point guard Tim Frazier was waived in a corresponding move.
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel led the team in scoring and rebounding as Philadelphia lost to Miami, 119-108, on Monday.
Insight: Noel shot 50 percent from the field and 8-for-10 at the line to finish with 18 points. He also had seven rebounds and four blocks. Noel has averaged 12.6 ppg, 6.6 rpg and 3.6 bpg over the last five games.
Description: 76ers guard Jason Richardson will not play Monday night.
Insight: No surprise here. Richardson has been injured for most of the past few seasons and his playing the last two games was the exception, not the rule. He did average 7.0 ppg, 6.0 rpg in 21 minutes over the two-game span.
Description: 76ers center Henry Sims will start on Sunday versus the Magic.
Insight: Sims is probably starting to try and offset the size of Orlando's Nikola Vucevic. Sims, though, is only worth a look in very deep leagues as he has averaged just 8.8 ppg and 5.3 rpg this season.
Description: It's good news and bad news for Sixers newly-acquired point guard Isaiah Canaan.
Insight: Canaan won't play Friday night. But he should end up being the team's starting point guard from here on out. Canaan started nine games in Houston this season and averaged 12.6 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 2.3 apg.
Description: Point guard Isaiah Canaan could end up being the Sixers starting point guard.
Insight: Philadelphia traded away Michael Carter-Williams and K.J. McDaniel, didn't re-sign Tim Frazier and Tony Wroten had season-ending knee surgery. Canaan started nine games in Houston this season and averaged 12.6 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 2.3 apg. If your fantasy team needs a point guard he could be yout guy.
Description: Center JaVale McGee has been traded from Denver to Philadelphia.
Insight: McGee may not see any time in Philadelphia as the Sixers were likely just in the deal for Denver's first-round pick. McGee has been dealing with leg issues and hasn't playing much basketball over the past two seasons. He might even get waived.
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams (sprained toe) did not practice Wednesday and is questionable at best for Friday's game against Indiana.
Insight: As the Sixers have shown, they will sit their guys since they are not playing for a playoff spot. Tim Frazier was not re-signed to a 10-day contract which leaves an open spot for the Sixers as the trade deadline approaches. This is a fluid situation.
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams is likely out until after the All-Star break.
Insight: As the Sixers have shown, they will sit their guys since they are not playing for a playoff spot. Tim frazier is the starting point guard these days and posted a solid 10-point, six-rebound, seven-assist game in Monday's loss to the Warriors. he's proven he can dish, now if he can score 10 points a game he'll be a viable fantasy option until MCW returns.
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams missed Saturday's game due to a sore right foot and is going to miss Monday's game as well. He's likely not to return until after the All-Star break.
Insight: Just-signed Tim Frazier could again see a lot of playing time. Frazier isn't a scorer, but has racked up 19 assists in two games.
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams missed Saturday's game due to a sore right foot and we await word on tests that were run Sunday, but consider him questionable right through the All-Star break.
Insight: If MCW doesn't play, just-signed Tim Frazier could again see a lot of playing time. Frazier isn't a scorer, but has racked up 19 assists in two games.
Description: 76ers forward Robert Covington scored a team-high 22 points during Saturday's victory against the Hornets
Insight: He nailed five 3-pointers and went 7-of-15 from the field and 3-of-5 from the line. Covington also managed eight boards, two assists, one steal, one block, and two turnovers. He should be owned everywhere.
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams is expected to miss Saturday's game against Charlottedue to a sore right foot.
Insight: If MCW doesn't play, just-signed Tim Frazier could again see a lot of playing time. Frazier played 35 minutes Friday night in his debut, posting five points, 11 assists, five rebounds and two steals. Aside from not shooting well, he played a solid game.
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams is questionable for Friday's game against Boston due to a sore right foot.
Insight: He'll be a game-time decision. MCW nearly triple-doubled in the last game posting 15 points, eight rebounds and 12 assists. If he doesn't play, just-signed Tim Frazier could see a lot of playing time.
Description: Sixers coach Brett Brown said that point guard Michael Carter-Williams hurt his right shin versus the Hawks on Saturday and that's why he was limited to 19 minutes on Monday according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Insight: The 76ers are always going to use the cautious approach with their young players, so Carter-Williams will likely not play on Tuesday. Larry Drew II is in line to get the start versus the Nuggets.
Description: Rookie Jerami Grant scored a career-high 18 points versus the Cavaliers on Monday.
Insight: Grant also had seven rebounds, two assists and three 3-pointers. The rebound and 3-point numbers tied career-highs. Coach Brett Brown seems to getting more confident in Grant, who has played at least 26 minutes in four of the last five six games.
Description: 76ers forward Robert Covington scored a team-high 18 points versus the Cavaliers on Monday.
Insight: Covington shot 6-for-13 from the field and made four 3-pointers. He had an incredible seven steals with four assists, three rebounds and a block as well. Covington continues to be the best fantasy option from the 76ers.
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams recorded a triple-double in the victory over the Timberwolves on Friday.
Insight: Carter-Williams had 17 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. He shot 6-of-13 from the field and 5-for-6 at the line. Without Tony Wroten in the lineup, Carter-Williams should continue to accumulate numbers.
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams is ill and will not play in Monday's game against the Pelicans.
Insight: MCW is averaging 15.3 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 7.1 apg. Larry Drew II will make his first career start in his place. Don't expect those type numbers, but LDII has played well in his six games with the Sixers.
Description: Rookie Jerami Grant came off the bench and led the 76ers in scoring on Saturday.
Insight: It was a bad offensive game for Philadelphia, so Grant had just 16 points. Still, the 76ers have been waiting for the rookie from Syracuse to break out. He was 5-of-10 with two 3-pointers from the field. Unfortunately, he did nothing else and shot just 50 percent from the line.
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel (illness) did not play on Wednesday, but is listed as probable for Friday versus Toronto.
Insight: Noel (8.1 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 1.6 apg, 1.6 spg, 1.6 bpg) is a low-end box score filler. The Sixers could be short-handed up front as center Henry Sims just showed up on the injury report (ankle). Furkan Aldemir should also see double-digit minutes.
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams scored a team-high 15 points during Saturday's loss to the Pistons.
Insight: He went 6-of-12 from the field and 2-of-2 from the line. Carter-Williams also had six assists, one board, one 3-pointer, and four turnovers. He is an extremely inefficient player, as he is not even a top-200 option.
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams filled the stat sheet on Friday.
Insight: Carter-Williams led Philadelphia with 22 points and seven assists while also finishing tied for second on his team with six rebounds. Don't expect Williams to have very good shooting numbers, but he adds lots of points, assists, rebounds and steals.
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten had 20 points to lead Philadelphia in scoring on Saturday.
Insight: Wroten came off the bench and played 29 minutes against the Pacers. He only shot 6-of-17, but he made two 3-pointers and 6-of-7 at the free-throw line. Wroten also had nine assists in a solid fantasy night.
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams led Philadelphia to its first home victory of the season on Monday.
Insight: Carter-Williams scored nine of his 18 points in the fourth quarter to lead Philadelphia to a, 95-92, come-from-behind victory over Cleveland. Carter-Williams also had 13 assists, six rebounds, two steals and a block.
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten came off the bench to play 33 minutes on Friday and lead the team in scoring.
Insight: Wroten was 10-for-19 shooting, including 4-for-9 from behind the arc. He scored 28 points and had three assists, three steals and two rebounds. Along with Michael Carter-Williams, Wroten is really the only other player from the 76ers owners would want on their fantasy teams.
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten led the team in scoring Saturday.
Insight: Wroten didn't shoot very great, going 8-for-17, on his way to 20 points. He also contributed six rebounds and two steals. Even off the bench, Wroten is a decent fantasy option for the star-hungry 76ers.
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams led Philadelphia back to defeat the Heat, 91-87, on Tuesday.
Insight: A two-game winning streak for the 76ers might be a sign the apocalypse is near. Philadelphia outscored Miami, 18-9, in the fourth quarter. Carter-Williams had 20 points with six steals, five assists, three rebounds and a block.
Description: 76ers forward Robert Covington led the team with 24 points on Saturday.
Insight: Covington did not shoot that well, going 5-for-16 and only hitting on 3-of-11 3-pointers, but he was helped out by the fact he went to the line all night and made 11-of-12 foul shots. Covington also had nine rebounds, an assist and steal. With him in the starting lineup for Philadelphia, he has become a decent fantasy option.
Description: Sixers forward Robert Covington played well in his first start of the season.
Insight: He went 6-of-10 from the field, and every shot he attempted was from beyond the arc. Covington finished with 20 points, six rebounds, two assists, three steals, one block, and three turnovers. He should be picked up everywhere.
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams had a somewhat odd stat line during Wednesday's loss against the Hawks.
Insight: He was 4-of-7 from the field for eight points. Carter-Williams also had 10 rebounds, nine assists, two blocks, and a dreadful nine turnovers. He will continue to have great chances to produce.
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten is doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Hawks.
Insight: Philadelphia originally called Wroten likely to return on Wednesday, but now it seems unlikely. Check back for confirmation, and if he can't go, Robert Covington will take most of Wroten's minutes.
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten is expected to return to action Wednesday.
Insight: Wroten (17.9 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 6.3 apg) will likely come off the bench at both PG and SG and should still see his full compliment of minutes, but may not score as much with Michael Carter-Williams and Robert Covington scoring at a high level.
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams continued to fill the stat sheet in Saturday's win against Detroit.
Insight: No that is not a mistake. The 76ers have now won two of the past three games, and MCW has been a major reason why. He had 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field and 4-of-5 shooting from the line, along with 15 assists, eight rebounds, three steals, two blocks, but also seven turnovers. Owners would like to see his turnovers go down, but after a line like that, nobody can complain.
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams continues to rack up statistics while shooting bad percentages.
Insight: Carter-Williams shot 6-of-19 and went 3-for-5 from the free-throw line on Friday against the Thunder. He did, however, nearly record another triple-double with 16 points, 14 assists and seven rebounds. Carter-Williams also had three steals.
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams led the team with 20 points as Philadelphia finally won a game this season.
Insight: Carter-Williams scored 20 points and nearly finished with a triple-double once again with nine rebounds and nine assists. His shooting numbers, however, continue to be subpar. Carter-Williams shot 9-of-20, missed all three of his 3-point attempts and just 2-of-7 at the line. Meanwhile, the 76ers are 1-17.
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams recorded a triple-double on Saturday versus the Mavericks.
Insight: Carter-Williams was the one-man wrecking crew with 18 points, 16 assists and 10 rebounds, but he shot terribly, going 4-for-13 from the field. He made up for it, hitting 10-of-12 foul shots. Expect more of the same from the guard going forward: lots of points, rebounds and assists but poor shooting numbers.
Description: 76ers forward K.J. McDaniels led the team with 21 points and 13 rebounds on Saturday versus the Mavericks.
Insight: McDaniels is still not starting, but he played 32 minutes coming off the bench Saturday. It was the second straight game McDaniels played more than 30 minutes and in each game, he scored in the double figures.
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams scored 24 points in Monday's loss to Portland.
Insight: He was 10-of-24 from the field and 4-of-5 from the line. Carter-Williams also chipped in seven rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two turnovers. He needs to contribute more in the assist column, but it was a solid night, nevertheless.
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel played very well in Saturday's loss to the Knicks.
Insight: He was 6-of-11 from the field, but only 5-of-10 from the line for 17 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block, and two turnovers. Free throws will continue to be an issue for Noel, but hopefully he will continue to produce lines like this one.
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams will continue to come off the bench ... at least Monday, according to Keith Pompey.
Insight: MCW will eventually go back to his starting role as soon as he knocks the rust of his game. At the moment he's shooting just 32.3 percent from the field after being a 40 percent guy last season. Despite that he's still averaging 16.0 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 5.0 apg, 1.0 spg.
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten scored 19 points in Friday's loss to Houston.
Insight: He also had eight assists, four rebounds, one steal, two 3-pointers, and four turnovers. It will be interesting to see how much time Wroten gets once Michael Carter-Williams re-enters to starting lineup.
Description: Sixers point guard Alexey Shved is doubtful for Friday's game against Houston with a sore lower back.
Insight: Shved missed Thursday's game and is unlikely for Friday as there is no reason to push any Sixers player before they are 100 percent since they aren't trying to win games this season ... again.
Description: 76ers point guard Michael Carter-Williams (shoulder) played for the first time in 2014-15.
Insight: Coming off the bench, MCW was obviously rusty but scored 19 points on 6-of-19 shots with eight rebounds and five assists. The Sixers team looked horrible in another blowout loss, but this was encouraging for Carter-Williams fantasy owners.
Description: 76ers point guard Michael Carter-Williams (shoulder) will likely come off the bench Thursday night against Dallas.
Insight: This is according to Carter-Williams himself, as it will be his first game in almost seven months. We think he will have a solid fantasy season, but owners need to temper expectations early on.
Description: 76ers forward K.J. McDaniels has 2.2 blocks per game over his last five contests.
Insight: McDaniels told the Philadelphia Inquirer on Wednesday that it would "mean a lot" to start for the 76ers. It sounds like coach brett Brown is not ready to plug McDaniels into the starting lineup, but the rookie is trending up. In deep leagues, stash McDaniels and keep an eye on him in shallow leagues.
Description: 76ers point guard Michael Carter-Williams (shoulder) will be eased back into the flow and likely won't play big minutes at the start, according to head coach Brett Brown.
Insight: Carter-Williams is expected to return against Dallas on Thursday. He averaged 34.5 mpg last season and posted 16.7 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 6.3 apg. But since the Sixers are obviously not trying to win games this season his return date is no doubt "flexible."
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten scored 31 points as the 76ers nearly came back against the Bulls, but ultimately fell short, 118-115, on Friday.
Insight: Wroten did not shoot all that well, making 3-out-of-10 from the 3-point line and 11-of-27 from the field overall, but he finished with 31 points. That's 58 points in the last two games for Wroten.
Description: Sixers power forward Brandon Davies is already moved into a starting role and if Nerlens Noel's ankle injury keeps him out for any length of time, Davies could become a viable fantasy option.
Insight: Davies scored 20 points Wednesday night with four rebounds, one assist and a steal in 29 minutes. He could soon crack the 30-minute mark.
Description: 76ers point guard Michael Carter-Williams plans to practice on Thursday according to Calkins Media.
Insight: Carter-Williams hopes to return next week against Dallas on Nov. 13, but even when he returns, he likely won't average 30 minutes per game right away. It will take at least a few games to get back to where he was at the end of last season.
Description: Sixers backup PF Brandon Davies would likely start if Henry Sims isn't ready to go Monday.
Insight: Davies would play at the power forward spot and Nerlens Noel would shift to center. Davies has 18 points against Miam in 24 minutes and 12 points in 18 minutes against Indiana. If he gets minutes he could be a useful low-end value.
Description: Sixers point guard Alexey Shved played very well in the opener and on this weak Philadelphia roster should continue to see plenty of playing time.
Insight: Shved posted 18 points and five assists in just 24 minutes. He was 3-of-6 from beyond the arc and fantasy owners should keep an eye on him. If he sees the same workload or more he'd be a useful bench addition.
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten had a solid opening night.
Insight: He was filling in for the injured Michael Carter-Williams, and posted a nice stat line. Wroten was 9-of-21 for 22 points, while also adding seven assists, eight rebounds, and three steals. Once MCW returns from injury, Wroten will move back to the bench, but as long as he continues to see minutes, he will be able to provide numbers for fantasy owners.
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel posted 10 rebounds and three blocks in his NBA debut.
Insight: He had a poor shooting night, going 2-for-11 from the field and 2-for-6 from the line, for his six points. Owners will have to deal with poor offensive nights from Noel, but it is nice to see him produce in the rebounding and shot-blocking department, early on.
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten does a little bit of everything but nothing all that well.
Insight: Wroten will likely average over 11 PPG, close to three rebounds and assists per game and nearly a steal per game. He won't lite up any one category. Keep in mind, Wroten is also a very poor free-throw shooter. He shot 64.1 percent from the line last season.
Description: The Sports Network's projections have rookie K.J. McDaniels as the 76ers second leading scorer in 2014-2015.
Insight: McDaniels was quite the scorer at Clemson, averaging 17.1 PPG while also chipping in 7.1 RPG, 2.8 BPG and 1.1 SPG. The rookie has already showcased his blocking ability through the preseason. Coach Brett Brown is a defensive coach, so he will likely start McDaniels for defense, which will allow him to contribute in other areas in fantasy.
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel is 100 percent over his torn ACL and will get all the minutes he can handle this season.
Insight: The 76ers will be awful this season, but Noel will accumulate blocks, steals and rebounds right away. His long-term potential also has him as a 20-point scorer, but right out of the gate, we expect him to sit more around the 10 PPG mark.
Description: 76ers point guard Michael Carter-Williams will be the team's top offensive weapon once he returns to the court.
Insight: Carter-Williams had surgery over the offseason to repair his left shoulder. He is targeting Nov. 13 as his return. Carter-Williams does not shoot a high percentage, just 40.5 percent from the field, 26.4 percent from behind the arc, and 70.3 percent from the free-throw line, but he will accumulate points, rebounds, assists and steals to be a quality fantasy guard.
Description: Philadelphia point guard Michael Carter-Williams (shoulder surgery) is targeting a mid-November return, according to Jeff Goodman of ESPN.
Insight: Carter-Williams had surgery over the offseason to repair his left shoulder. He won the Rookie of the Year with averages of 16.7 points, 0.8 3-pointers, 6.2 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.9 steals per game. This timetable would have him missing 7-10 games.
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel did not play on Friday due to a right thigh issue.
Insight: The 76ers held Noel out on Friday for precautionary reasons. Noel is listed as day-to-day. He should be one of the first rookies selected in fantasy drafts. With his shot-block ability, Noel has No. 1 center potential.
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel made 5-of-13 shots, scoring 10 points, and also had nine rebounds, three assists and three blocks in 31 minutes of Wednesday's preseason game against the Hornets.
Insight: Noel likely benefitted from the matchup against Al Jefferson on Wednesday. Jefferson is know for playing very little defense. The numbers from Wednesday are much better than Noel's numbers from the first preseason game. With the lack of scoring elsewhere on the 76ers and lack of depth at the center position, Noel is a possible No. 1 center in fantasy.
Description: Philadelphia G/F Hollis Thompson suffered a corneal abrasion in his left eye and is out on Wednesday according to Comcast Sports Net.
Insight: Most of the time, this type of injury is minor, but other players have missed significant time from it. If he missing significant time, K.J. McDaniels and Alexey Shved will see more playing time.
Description: Philadelphia point guard Michael Carter-Williams (shoulder surgery) has not yet been cleared for five-on-five workouts with contact, according to 76ers GM Sam Hinkie.
Insight: Carter-Williams had surgery over the offseason to repair his left shoulder. He missed 12 games his rookie season, but won the Rookie of the Year with averages of 16.7 points, 0.8 3-pointers, 6.2 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.9 steals per game. If he can stay healthy, he should be a reliable point guard option especially in leagues that have no penalty for turnovers.
Description: Philadelphia center Nerlens Noel gave Sixers fans and fantasy owners a first glimpse of his ability in Saturday's summer league contest.
Insight: The 20-year-old, who sat out the entire season after ACL surgery, played 26 minutes and posted 19 points, two rebounds, three assists, four steals and a block. Most important he looked healthy. He could see plenty of court time in 2014 and could end up being a mid-round fantasy value.
Description: The Sixers took a chance on Kansas center Joel Embiid with the third pick in Thursday's NBA Draft.
Insight: Embiid was supposed to go No. 1 to Cleveland but the Cavs were scared away by his foot injury. When Embiid gets healthy, he and Nerlens Noel will form one of the league's best young low post duos.
Description: Philadelphia point guard Michael Carter-Williams underwent surgery to repair the labrum of his right shoulder, according to the Delaware County Daily Times.
Insight: Carter-Williams was named NBA Rookie of the Year on Monday. The NBA season took its toll on MCW, costing him 12 games due to a left foot bruise, a knee infection and a sore shoulder. However, he finished strong with averages of 17.8 points on .512 shooting, 7.6 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 1.5 steals over his last 10 games. With two picks in the lottery, the 76ers' roster should be much improved next season as Carter-Williams tries to improve upon his 16.7 ppg on .405 shooting, 6.2 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.9 steals per game.
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams was announced Monday as the NBA's 2013-14 Rookie of the Year. SOURCE: NBA.com
Insight: He's only the third rookie in NBA history to average at least 16 points, six rebounds and six assists. MCW isn't a good shooter (40.5 percent) and he can be a bit turnover-prone (3.5 turnovers per game) but his versatility still makes him a strong fantasy asset. At age 22, he's only going to get better.
Description: Philadelphia guard Michael Carter-Williams had another near triple-double Saturday in a loss to Charlotte.
Insight: MCW finished with 23 points, seven boards and eight assists. When Carter-Williams (16.7 ppg, 6.3 apg, 6.1 rpg, 1.9 spg) inevitably wins NBA Rookie of the Year, he'll be the highest draft pick to win the award since Mark Jackson in 1988.
Description: Philadelphia guard Tony Wroten expects to return Saturday against the Pistons. SOURCE: Brian Seltzer, 97.5 The Fanatic
Insight: A sprained ankle has kept him out for the last three games. The Sixers have a chance to make history tonight: another loss would give them 27 in a row, the longest losing streak in NBA history.
Description: Sixers swingman James Anderson had 30 points on 11-of-18 shooting (6-11 3PT) Thursday at Houston.
Insight: Anderson has scored 66 points on 23-of-34 shooting (12-19 3PT) in two games against the Rockets, the team that waived him last July, this season. He's had just one other game with 20+ points in 2013-14.
Description: Philadelphia center Henry Sims has logged two straight double-doubles.
Insight: Sims had 18 points, 15 boards and two blocks in 31 minutes Saturday at Chicago. He has averaged 26.4 minutes, 10.4 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.7 blocks over his last 11 games.
Description: With 28 points Saturday at Chicago, Philadelphia forward Thaddeus Young had his sixth straight contest with at least 20 points.
Insight: The 76ers have something in common with fantasy owners: both don't care about wins and losses. Young has produced 21.5 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 3.8 apg, 2.7 spg and 1.7 3pg in 15 games since the team traded Spencer Hawes and Evan Turner at the trade deadline. Of course, the Sixers have compiled 24 straight losses.
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten sprained his ankle Friday in a loss to New York. He's already been ruled out for the team's upcoming three-game road trip. SOURCE: Chris Vito, Delaware County Daily Times
Insight: That means the earliest he could play again is next Saturday against the Pistons. Expect Hollis Thompson (5.8 ppg) to start in his place.
Description: Sixers swingman James Anderson will return to the lineup Friday after missing the last two games with a bruised thigh. SOURCE: Tom Moore, Bucks County Courier Times
Insight: Tony Wroten (13.5 ppg) will remain in the starting lineup with Hollis Thompson (5.8 ppg) heading back to the bench. Anderson's scoring average in March (12.5 ppg in eight contests) is his highest of the season.
Description: Philadelphia point guard Michael Carter-Williams delivered 17 points on 7-of-16 shooting Wednesday in a loss to the Bulls.
Insight: But more importantly, he had nine rebounds and seven assists, putting him within striking distance of his third triple-double of the season. Wednesday was the Sixers' 22nd loss in a row. That's a new franchise record.
Description: Philadelphia forward Thad Young had another brilliant outing Saturday against Memphis (20 points, seven rebounds, six steals).
Insight: Of course, the result was the same as the Sixers lost for the 20th time in a row. The four three-pointers Young hit were his most since December 28th against Phoenix. It doesn't get any easier for the Sixers as their next game is Monday against the conference-leading Pacers.
Description: Sixers power forward Thaddeus Young has averaged 20.6 ppg, 5.7 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 2.6 steals in 10 games since the trade deadline.
Insight: The 76ers traded Evan Turner, Spencer Hawes and Lavoy Allen at the deadline, leaving Young as one of the only competent players left on the roster. He has taken advantage of the larger role. In 45 minutes Friday against the Pacers, Young had 25 points, 10 assists, six rebounds and three steals.
Description: Philadelphia shooting guard James Anderson has produced 17.5 ppg, 4.0 3pg, 3.0 rpg and 2.3 apg his last four games.
Insight: Anderson had 17 points, three assists, two rebounds and five triples in 31 minutes Wednesday against Sacramento. His long-range shot has really come along over his last 11 games as he has made 2.8 threes per game in that span. He made just 1.1 threes per game with a .299 3P% his first 53 games.
Description: Philadelphia center Nerlens Noel (torn ACL) is not expected to play this season. SOURCE: Marc Narducci, Philly Inquirer
Insight: He was hoping to return on April 4th so he could debut against his hometown Celtics but that was always a bit of a longshot. Noel is definitely a part of the team's plans, just not this season.
Description: Sixers coach Brett Brown thinks practicing 5-on-5 by the end of the season is a realistic goal for Nerlens Noel (knee), according to beat writer Chris Vito.
Insight: Noel hasn't played since tearing his ACL at the University of Kentucky over a year ago, but a tweet he sent out Sunday indicated that he was targeting April 4 for a return. However, Brown's comments Tuesday suggest that the center won't be back this season.
Description: Sixers guard Michael Carter-Williams produced his second career triple-double Monday in a loss to New York.
Insight: Carter-Williams finished with 23 points, 13 boards and ten assists. As bad as the 76ers have been lately (17 straight losses), Carter-Williams is still a leading candidate for Rookie of the Year.
Description: Nerlens Noel hinted on his Twitter account that his Sixers debut could come April 4th against Boston.
Insight: Noel hasn't played since tearing his ACL at the University of Kentucky over a year ago. He's not a big time scorer but when healthy, Noel can be a dominant shot blocker. When Noel comes back, he'll likely be on a minutes limit.
Description: Philadelphia point guard Michael Carter-Williams has made just 21-of-72 (.292) from the field over his last five games.
Insight: MCW's shooting percentage slipped under 40 percent for the season during this recent slump. He made just 2-of-13 from the field and had four points Saturday against the Jazz, though he did add nine assists, seven rebounds and five steals.
