Description: Indiana center Roy Hibbert will start the regular season finale Wednesday against the Magic, but he is only expected to play the first half, according to Scott Agness of pacers.com.
Insight: Paul George, Lance Stephenson and David West will rest tomorrow, but the Pacers need Hibbert to have a positive performance going into the playoffs. He went 2-for-22 from he field over his last three games and averaged 8.6 ppg on .356 shooting his last 17 games. That's unacceptable for a 7-foot-2 player.
Description: Indiana point guard C.J. Watson will not play in the final game of the regular season for rest purposes, according to Scott Agness of pacers.com.
Insight: Watson missed most of March and three games in April due to injuries. The Pacers may have realized how much they will need him in the postseason when he scored 20 points in 25 minutes Sunday against the Thunder.
Description: Indiana forward Paul George (rest) will not play in Wednesday's regular season finale, according to Scott Agness of pacers.com.
Insight: He'll join David West, Lance Stephenson and C.J. Watson on the bench. The 23-year-old George will finish with averages of 21.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.9 steals and 2.3 threes, but he only shot 37.7 percent from the field and averaged 19.6 ppg in his final 38 contests. He averaged 23.6 ppg on .464 shooting his first 42 games and was an early MVP candidate.
Description: The Pacers will rest all their starters Wednesday against the Magic and that includes shooting guard Lance Stephenson.
Insight: Indiana was able to clinch home court advantage when Miami lost to the Wizards on Monday night. That renders Wednesday's regular season finale meaningless. Stephenson will finish the year with averages of 13.8 ppg, 4.6 apg and 7.2 rpg in 78 contests. He was the NBA's leader in triple-doubles this season with five.
Description: Pacers guard Lance Stephenson (17 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists) got his swagger back Sunday in a win over Oklahoma City.
Insight: Sunday was Stephenson's fifth triple-double of the season. The three-pointer he drilled in front of Kevin Durant with 34 seconds left was the dagger. The Pacers now control their own destiny and can lock up the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference with a win Wednesday in the regular season finale.
Description: Pacers power forward David West recently approached coach Frank Vogel about getting a night off to rest. He's considered questionable for Wednesday's game with Milwaukee. SOURCE: Scott Agness, Pacers.com
Insight: The Pacers looked totally gassed Sunday in an embarrassing 19-point loss to Atlanta. West played 38 minutes in that game, posting 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting. He hasn't missed a game all season.
Description: Indiana center Roy Hibbert was benched for the second half of Sunday's loss to Atlanta.
Insight: Hibbert had no points or rebounds in nine minutes of action. The Pacers have fallen apart, losing five out of six by an average of 16 points. They trail Miami by one game with four games remaining.
Description: Indiana center Roy Hibbert suffered a sore neck on a hard fall during Wednesday's game and is questionable to return, according to Scott Agness of pacers.com.
Insight: Hibbert was attempting to take Charlie Villanueva off the dribble and Villanueva appeared to pull him to the ground. Hibbert smashed the back of his head on the floor and stayed down for a while before shooting his free throws. He went to the locker room for evaluation after that.
Description: Indiana shooting guard Lance Stephenson just picked up his second technical and has been ejected from Wednesday's game against Miami.
Insight: Stephenson said something to Dwyane Wade after hitting a shot and was quickly given the heave-ho. He'll finish with 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting. Evan Turner is likely to finish out the game at shooting guard.
Description: Pacers coach Frank Vogel expects center Andrew Bynum to be out "a while." SOURCE: NBC's Pro Basketball Talk
Insight: He had his knee drained earlier this week. Bynum looked like he was on his way to being a superstar after his breakout 2011-12 season (18.7 ppg, 11.8 rpg) but injuries and a lack of commitment have sent his career into a tailspin.
Description: Indiana center Andrew Bynum had his knee drained on Monday. SOURCE: Scott Agness, Pacers.com
Insight: He's not going to play Wednesday against the Knicks. The Pacers already have Roy Hibbert at center so they can afford to give Bynum (8.7 ppg, 5.6 rpg) as much time as he needs to recover. Consider the 7-footer out indefinitely.
Description: Indiana backup point guard C.J. Watson (hamstring) missed Monday's game and is doubtful for Wednesday's game against New York.
Insight: Watson returned from an elbow injury on Friday but suffered a right hamstring strain and will likely miss a third straight game with the injury. Evan Turner has been receiving Watson's minutes.
Description: Pacers center Andrew Bynum is dealing with swelling in his knee and is expected to miss Wednesday's game against New York.
Insight: Bynum has been productive in two games with Indiana, averaging 11.5 points and 9.5 rebounds, but if he can't play multiple games even with a rest day in between then his value in the playoffs will be limited.
Description: Pacers center Andrew Bynum is dealing with swelling in his knee and will miss Monday's game.
Insight: Bynum has been productive in two games with Indiana, averaging 11.5 points and 9.5 rebounds, but it isn't a good sign that his knees are already giving him an issue despite playing 18 minutes per game.
Description: Just back from an elbow problem, Indiana backup point guard C.J. Watson left Friday's game with a right hamstring strain and didn't play Saturday.
Insight: Watson is listed as questionable for Monday's game against Philadelphia. The addition of Evan Turner to the Pacers' roster means that Donald Sloan still won't see any of George Hill's minutes.
Description: Indiana small forward Paul George led a big second half comeback Saturday in a win against Detroit.
Insight: The Pacers trailed by 19 at half time but were able to win 112-104 in overtime. George was largely responsible for the turnaround, producing 30 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and three steals in 46 minutes. Indiana has followed up its season-high four-game losing streak by winning three in a row.
Description: Pacers center Andrew Bynum crammed a lot into 20 minutes Saturday against Detroit.
Insight: Bynum finished with 15 points on 6-for-18 shooting. He also contributed nine rebounds, one assist and one block. The Pacers are probably going to be pretty careful with Bynum down the stretch, which means there's no guarantee he'll play Monday against the Sixers.
Description: Indiana backup point guard C.J. Watson left Friday's game with a right hamstring strain and won't play Saturday. SOURCE: Krissy Myers, Pacers.com
Insight: Watson missed four games with an elbow injury and returned without practicing which may have contributed to the hamstring injury. Evan Turner should see time at point guard Satruday against Detroit.
Description: Pacers G/F Evan Turner had just two points in 21 minutes Friday at Philadelphia, his former team.
Insight: As predicted, Turner has averaged far fewer minutes with the Pacers than he did with Philadelphia. He has played 22.6 minutes, 8.4 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game over 10 games with Indiana.
Description: Pacers center Andrew Bynum will not play Friday against the 76ers, the team announced. However, he'll be back Saturday.
Insight: Perhaps the Pacers wanted to protect Bynum from the vitriol Philadelphia's crowd would have spewed at him had he played. The center made his Pacers debut Tuesday and had eight points and 10 rebounds over 16 minutes, but he probably won't play much more than that as Roy Hibbert's backup. The Pacers signed him to serve as insurance in the playoffs should Hibbert get into foul trouble or injured.
Description: Pacers coach Frank Vogel said he'll hold Andrew Bynum out of practice Thursday to protect his knees with the hope that he'll be able to play Friday and Saturday.
Insight: Bynum had eight points and 10 rebounds over 16 minutes in his team debut Tuesday against the Celtics. He probably won't play much more than that as Roy Hibbert's backup. The Pacers signed him to serve as insurance in the playoffs should Hibbert get into foul trouble or injured.
Description: Andrew Bynum played well in his debut for Indiana Tuesday against Boston.
Insight: In 16 minutes, Bynum corralled ten rebounds while shooting 3-of-4 from the field. Best of all, Bynum actually played with enthusiasm and heart. He's not going to be much of a fantasy asset with Roy Hibbert standing in his way, but Bynum could be an important factor when the Pacers get to the playoffs.
Description: Pacers star Paul George blames last night's poor performance on a stiff back. SOURCE: Indianapolis Star
Insight: George had the worst shooting night of his career on Wednesday, missing all nine of his attempts in a 22-point loss to Charlotte. Despite the injury, George fully expects to play Friday against the Rockets.
Description: Indiana small forward Paul George didn't shoot the ball well Tuesday against the Warriors (8-for-23) but still managed 26 points, 12 rebounds and four assists.
Insight: George has been anything but efficient over his last five games, shooting just 39 percent from the field during that span. But when you're taking as many shots as George is (17.5 field goal attempts per game), fantasy owners tend not to complain. As long as George (22.7 ppg) keeps shooting, fantasy owners should be able to look past his low percentage.
Description: Indiana forward David West led all scorers with 27 points Tuesday in a loss to Golden State.
Insight: West has produced at least 20 points in each of his last two games. It's only the second time he's done that this season. We'll see if he can keep the hot streak going Wednesday when the Pacers travel to Charlotte for a date with the Bobcats.
Description: Indiana point guard George Hill missed a second straight game Sunday, but is expected to return on Tuesday, according to the Pacers' site.
Insight: Hill is dealing with a bruised shoulder. C.J. Watson replaced him the past two games, but has minimal fantasy value. Hill doesn't get much attention, but is a solid PG averaging 10.9 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 3.5 apg, 1.0 spg, 1.4 threes per contest.
Description: Indiana point guard George Hill will miss a second straight game Sunday against Utah, according to Jazz PR man Jonathan Rinehart.
Insight: Hill was bumped by Ersan Ilyasova after a drive-and-kick and landed hard on his left arm in the fourth quarter Thursday. He's dealing with a bruised shoulder. C.J. Watson started Saturday but he isn't worth a roster spot, as the Pacers often use Lance Stephenson to handle the ball.
Description: Indiana point guard George Hill injured his left shoulder Thursday against Milwaukee and won't play Saturday in Boston. SOURCE: David Benner, Pacers Media Relations
Insight: Hill was bumped by Ersan Ilyasova after a drive-and-kick and landed hard on his left arm in the fourth quarter. He did not return. Hill is often overlooked in the Pacers lineup, but he still averages 10.9 ppg, 3.7 rpg and 3.5 apg. C.J. Watson (6.3 ppg) will get the start in Hill's absence.
Description: Indiana point guard George Hill sustained a left shoulder injury Thursday and is questionable for Saturday's game against Boston.
Insight: Hill was bumped by Ersan Ilyasova after a drive-and-kick and landed hard on his left arm in the fourth quarter. He did not return. Hill is often overlooked in the Pacers lineup, but averages 10.9 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 3.5 apg.
Description: Indiana center Roy Hibbert had his first 20-10 game since Nov. 23 Thursday against the Bucks.
Insight: Hibbert made 10-of-16 from the field and 4-of-5 from the foul line for 24 points with 12 rebounds and two blocks. He came in averaging just 8.5 ppg and 6.6 rpg in February, but has continued to block shots at a high level (2.4 bpg this month).
Description: Indiana point guard George Hill suffered a bruised left shoulder during Thursday's game and is day-to-day, according to the Pacers on Twitter.
Insight: Hill was bumped by Ersan Ilyasova after a drive-and-kick and landed hard on his left arm late in the fourth. He stayed down for a minute before being helped up and off the court. Indiana's next game is Saturday at Boston.
Description: Evan Turner had 13 points, six rebounds and two assists over 26 minutes in his Pacers debut Tuesday against the Lakers.
Insight: Indiana acquired the 25-year-old Turner from the Sixers after he averaged 34.9 minutes, 17.4 ppg, 6.0 rpg and 3.7 apg. He won't play more than 20-23 minutes most nights and only saw 26 Tuesday because the Pacers had a huge lead entering the fourth quarter. All five starters played under their season average in minutes, including Paul George with 28 (averages 36) and Lance Stephenson with 33 (averages 35.5).
Description: Pacers G/F Evan Turner will be available Tuesday, according to Candace Buckner of the Indianapolis Star.
Insight: Turner hasn't made his debut with Indiana yet after coming over from the Sixers. The 25-year-old averaged 17.4 ppg, 6.0 rpg and 3.7 apg with Philadelphia but played 34.9 mpg. He'll only get around 20-25 minutes per game with Indiana and his low shooting percentage won't allow him to be a fantasy option in that limited amount of time.
Description: Indiana point guard George Hill had zero points in 31 minutes Saturday at Milwaukee.
Insight: The emergence of Lance Stephenson as the team's primary ballhandler has turned Hill into a spare part. The 27-year-old put up 14.2 points, 4.7 assists and 1.7 threes per game last season but has averaged just 10.9 points, 3.5 assists and 1.4 threes this season.
Description: Pacers All-Star forward Paul George has compiled 93 points in his first three games after the All-Star break (31 ppg), including 32 Saturday against Milwaukee.
Insight: George has made 50 percent of his field goals and 57 percent of his threes in that stretch. He went into the All-Star break having put up 20.1 ppg on 39.2 percent shooting his previous 23 contests.
Description: Pacers G/F Evan Turner and big man Lavoy Allen will not play in Saturday's game with Milwaukee, according to beat reporter Candace Buckner
Insight: Allen won't have any fantasy value with his new team, while Turner should see 20 plus minutes a night on the wing. Turner's value will certainly be less than when he saw 35 minutes a game in Philadelphia.
Description: Lavoy Allen was included as part of the Evan Turner trade on Thursday. SOURCE: Adrian Wojnarowski, Yahoo Sports
Insight: The 25-year-old is headed to Indiana, where he's likely to backup Luis Scola and David West at power foward. Allen isn't a guy we'd trust for fantasy purposes (5.2 ppg, 5.4 rpg in 51 games this season).
Description: In what will go down as the biggest deal of this year's trade deadline, the Pacers received Evan Turner and Lavoy Allen Thursday in exchange for small forward Danny Granger. SOURCE: Adrian Wojnarowski, Yahoo Sports
Insight: It's a huge win for the Pacers as Turner figures to be a valuable sixth man off the bench. If Turner can produce anything close to the 17.4 ppg he was averaging in Philadelphia, Indiana is going to be tough to beat.
Description: Pacers All-Star forward Paul George generated 35 points Wednesday in a loss to Minnesota.
Insight: George could have stopped right there but instead he gave his fantasy owners an extra lift by providing 11 rebounds. He's looked excellent in his first two games since the All-Star break, averaging 30.5 ppg on 47.5 percent shooting.
Description: Pacers small forward Paul George has made just 39.3 percent of his field-goal attempts and 31 percent of his threes while averaging 20.1 points over his last 23 games. He had 12 points on 4-of-17 shooting Wednesday against Dallas.
Insight: George averaged 23.9 points per game on 47.5 percent shooting his first 29 games of the season but has tailed off a bit offensively. He's still putting up plenty of points, rebounds, threes, assists and steals to make fantasy owners happy.
Description: David West shredded the Nuggets for 25 points Monday in a Pacers victory.
Insight: West is heating up. Over his last four games, West has averaged 22.8 ppg while shooting a mesmerizing 65 percent from the floor (39-for-60). Fantasy owners would be wise to have West in their lineups Wednesday against Dallas.
Description: Pacers small forward Paul George rebounded from an awful game Friday (5-for-23 shooting versus Portland) by scoring 27 points Sunday in a loss to Orlando.
Insight: George drilled five of his eight three-point attempts and almost led Indiana back from a seven-point deficit late in the fourth quarter. George has fallen behind Kevin Durant in the MVP race but fantasy owners really don't have much to complain about after his amazing first half. Neither do Pacers fans, as Indiana still owns the best record in the NBA.
Description: Indiana point guard George Hill had a career night Friday in a win against Portland.
Insight: Hill's three-pointer with eight seconds left in regulation sent the game into overtime. Overall, he finished with a career-high 37 points on 12-of-19 shooting. He also came close to a triple-double, registering nine boards and eight assists over 38 minutes of court time.
Description: Pacers GM Kevin Pritchard said the team has no plans to upgrade the point guard spot before the trade deadline. "We feel great about George Hill," he said. "For us George Hill fits us perfectly because he's a great catch-and-shoot player and he gets us in our offense, and Lance (Stephenson) and Paul (George) are such good playmakers." SOURCE: indystar.com
Insight: The improvements that Stephenson and George have made have greatly affected Hill's numbers. He's averaging 10.5 points and 3.3 assists after putting up 14.2 ppg and 4.7 apg last season.
Description: David West led the Pacers with 22 points and ten boards Tuesday in a win against the Hawks.
Insight: With Lance Stephenson hurt and Paul George having a bit of an off-shooting night (6-for-16), Indiana needed a big game from West. Thankfully for the Pacers, that's exactly what they got. With West leading the way, Indiana was able to escape with a narrow 89-85 victory. The 22 points were West's most since January 24th against Sacramento.
Description: Indiana shooting guard Lance Stephenson fell hard on his back Tuesday versus the Hawks and is unlikely to return. SOURCE: Brooke Olzendam, Fox Sports Indiana
Insight: He remained in the game to shoot his free throws but left shortly after. If Stephenson's night is indeed over, he'll finish with ten points, four rebounds and six turnovers in 23 minutes of action.
Description: As expected, Indiana center Andrew Bynum won't compete in Tuesday's game versus the Hawks. SOURCE: Chris Vivlamore, Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Insight: Bynum is expected to make his Pacers debut sometime later this week. Roy Hibbert (12.3 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 2.5 bpg) is still the team's best option at center, which means fantasy owners shouldn't be in a rush to add Bynum to their rosters.
Description: Pacers center Andrew Bynum won't play until he's worked with the team for a "couple of weeks" according to coach Frank Vogel.
Insight: You are not getting the Bynum who averaged 18.7 ppg and 11.8 rpg for the Lakers in 2011. He'll backup Roy Hibbert and probably won't see more than a handful of minutes most nights. Keep looking.
Description: After being left off the Eastern Conference All-Star team earlier in the night, Pacers guard Lance Stephenson came up with his NBA-leading fourth triple-double (14 points, 10 assists, 10 rebounds).
Insight: Stephenson and Kyle Lowry were snubbed in favor of Joe Johnson. Stephenson has gotten better as the year has progressed, averaging 16.3 points, 8.1 rebounds and 5.9 assists over his last 22 games.
Description: Indiana shooting guard Lance Stephenson did it all Tuesday in a win over the Lakers.
Insight: Stephenson chipped in with 15 points, 14 boards, six assists and two steals. He might be the NBA's biggest triple-double threat at the moment. Look for Stephenson to be one of the players named when All-Star reserves are announced on Thursday night.
Description: Pacers guard Lance Stephenson kept his All-Star bid alive with another tremendous effort Friday against the Kings.
Insight: Stephenson netted 24 points on 9-of-19 shooting. But of course, scoring is only part of what makes Stephenson great. He also cleaned up the glass with ten rebounds while delivering six assists. He's the leader in the clubhouse for Most Improved Player.
Description: Indiana center Roy Hibbert was a beast Friday in a hard-fought victory over Sacramento.
Insight: Paul George and Lance Stephenson handled the scoring (combined 60 points) but Hibbert did the rest. The seven-footer came through with 10 points, 11 rebounds and five blocked shots. Hibbert is the early favorite to win Defensive Player of the Year.
Description: Indiana forward Paul George was spectacular in Friday's win over Sacramento.
Insight: George sent the game into overtime by converting a four-point play with 15 seconds left in regulation. During the overtime period he made two key defensive stops to seal the victory. In total, George finished with 36 points on 12-of-22 shooting. He also added five boards, four steals and two blocked shots.
Description: Pacers power forward David West injured his hand in the first quarter on Wednesday, but played through it and it won't stop him from playing in Friday's tilt, according to beat writer Candace Buckner.
Insight: West's 11 shots-per-game is almost three less than last season and helps explain his five point-per-game drop in scoring this season.
Description: Pacers power forward David West injured his hand in the first quarter on Wednesday, but played through it.
Insight: It shouldn't be a problem, but fantasy owners should make sure he's had no further issues before installing him into their Friday lineup West's 11 shots-per-game is almost three less than last season and helps explain his five point-per-game drop in scoring.
Description: Indiana shooting guard Lance Stephenson helped his All-Star chances with another dominant effort Saturday versus the Clippers.
Insight: Stephenson's line included 22 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists and one steal. The 23-year-old has been as good a rebounder as any guard in the league this season and continues to be a triple-double threat every time he steps on the floor.
Description: Indiana forward Paul George was sensational Saturday in a win against the Clippers.
Insight: He led all scorers with 36 points including a 360-windmill dunk that brought down the house. George was 5-of-6 from three-point range and 7-of-7 from the line. In less than two years, George has gone from a role player to a legitimate MVP candidate.
Description: Pacers small forward Paul George led the way with 31 points Tuesday in a rout of Sacramento.
Insight: It wasn't without its flaws: George did commit five turnovers in the contest. But for fantasy purposes, George (10-for-18 from the field) continues to be a dominant force at the small forward position. The victory puts Indiana three games ahead of Miami for first place in the Eastern Conference.
Description: Indiana guard Lance Stephenson sat out Wednesday's game in Atlanta because of a bruised knee, but is expected to return for Friday's contest versus Washington, according to coach Frank Vogel.
Insight: Though not dominant in any one area, Stephenson's versatility has been an asset to fantasy owners. His scoring (13.4 ppg), rebounding (6.6 rpg) and assist (5.2 apg) averages this season are all career-highs.
Description: Indiana swingman Paul George dropped 28 on the Hawks Wednesday night in Atlanta.
Insight: That's his highest scoring output since December 8th at Oklahoma City. George also finished with a game-high 12 rebounds. He's the best player on what has arguably been the best team in the NBA this season.
Description: Indiana guard Lance Stephenson will sit out Wednesday's game in Atlanta because of a bruised knee. SOURCE: Krissy Myers, Pacers.com
Insight: Wednesday will be Stephenson's first absence of the season. Though not dominant in any one area, Stephenson's versatility has been an asset to fantasy owners. His scoring (13.4 ppg), rebounding (6.6 rpg) and assist (5.2 apg) averages this season are all career-highs.
Description: Pacers forward Paul George comes into Wednesday's game at Atlanta having shot 35.4 percent from the field and 19.4 percent from 3-point range over his last five games.
Insight: George shot 47.5 percent and averaged 23.9 ppg over his first 29 games. He followed up his last slump -- 27 percent shooting from Dec. 10-16 -- by scoring 24-plus points in five straight games, so keep him in the lineup.
Description: Indiana guard George Hill had 21 points Saturday against the Nets but is only averaging 11.2 ppg this season.
Insight: Hill has played nearly three less minutes and attempted 2.5 less shots per game than last season. Combine that with a .413 shooting percentage and you get a dip of 3.0 ppg from 2012-13 to 2013-14.
Description: Pacers shooting guard Lance Stephenson had another all-around solid game Saturday against the Nets, putting up 23 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in 38 minutes.
Insight: Stephenson leads the NBA with three triple-doubles and is averaging 13.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.2 assists this season. He's one of just four players, along with LeBron James, Russell Westbrook and Nicolas Batum, averaging at least 6.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists.
Description: Pacers shooting guard Lance Stephenson added a triple-double in Sunday's win over Boston.
Insight: Stephenson generated 12 points, ten rebounds and ten assists in 35 minutes. His three triple-doubles are the most in the NBA. In fact, Stephenson is the only player with more than one triple-double this season.
Description: Pacers small forward Danny Granger (knee, calf) played 22 minutes in his season debut Friday and had five points on 1-of-7 shooting.
Insight: Knee and calf issues caused him to miss the first 25 games of the season after playing just five in 2012-13. He's unlikely to have fantasy value as the team uses him as a reserve swingman behind MVP candidate Paul George and Lance Stephenson.
Description: Indiana forward Danny Granger expects to return Friday against Charlotte. SOURCE: Brian Windhorst, ESPN
Insight: His coach doesn't, but at least we know Granger is getting close. He's been out all season with a calf injury. Granger's return will probably impact Lance Stephenson's fantasy value more than Paul George's.
Description: Indiana guard George Hill racked up 26 points in Monday's win over Minnesota.
Insight: Hill also produced five steals, seven assists and one blocked shot. As great as Hill looked on Monday night, he's not someone fantasy owners should rely on for scoring. He's only scored 20 points or more in two of his 11 games this season.
Description: Roy Hibbert led the Pacers with 27 points and 13 rebounds Saturday in a win against the Sixers.
Insight: Hibbert also had six rejections, giving him 56 for the season (leads the league). The seven-footer was a very efficient 13-of-16 from the charity stripe. Indiana now owns the best record in basketball at 12-1.
Description: Pacers shooting guard Lance Stephenson turned in a triple-double with 10 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists Friday against the Celtics.
Insight: The 23-year-old added four steals. While his scoring has dropped off from where it was over the first couple of weeks, Stephenson is still a fantastic fantasy contributor. Stephenson is one of seven players, including LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Chris Paul, Nicolas Batum, Michael Carter-Williams and Russell Westbrook, who are currently averaging at least 5.0 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game.
Description: Pacers power forward David West is only averaging 30 minutes, 11.4 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game this season.
Insight: However, he's keeping his fantasy value up with 1.5 blocks and 1.1 steals per game. The power forward averaged 33 minutes, 17.1 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 0.9 blocks and 1.0 steals last season, but the team added Luis Scola so it could scale back his minutes.
Description: Pacers forward Paul George carried Indiana to a comeback victory in overtime Wednesday at New York with 35 points, five rebounds, four assists, five steals and two blocks in 49 minutes.
Insight: Down three points with five seconds left in the fourth, George was fouled by Iman Shumpert and proceeded to hit all three free throws to tie it. He then scored nine of Indiana's 14 points in the extra session.
Description: Pacers shooting guard Lance Stephenson (knee) returned to Friday's game and played 29 minutes despite dealing with knee soreness in the first half.
Insight: Stephenson entered play Friday averaging 36 minutes, 16.4 points, 4.6 assists, 6.2 rebounds and 2.8 threes per game. He had his worst game of the season, scoring four points with four assists, two rebounds, one steal and zero threes Friday.
Description: Pacers power forward David West is averaging just 30.5 minutes and 11.2 points this season.
Insight: West averaged 33.5 minutes and 17.1 points last season. He's also shooting just 41.9 percent on 10.3 field-goal attempts per game so far after making 49.8 percent on 13.8 shots per game last season. Indiana acquired Luis Scola this summer to keep West's minutes down so look for West's averages to remain lower than last season, but he should improve from his current level once he finds his shot.
Description: Pacers shooting guard Lance Stephenson is questionable to return to Friday's game due to a sore left knee, according to Scott Agness of Pacers.com, but the team says he is "fine."
Insight: Stephenson entered play Friday averaging 36 minutes, 16.4 points, 4.6 assists, 6.2 rebounds and 2.8 threes per game this season. He should remain the starting shooting guard even when Danny Granger returns later this season.
Description: Indiana point guard George Hill (hip) participated in Friday's shootaround and underwent individual tests to determine if he'll be able to play Friday night. SOURCE: Scott Agness, Pacers.com
Insight: Hill has missed three straight games and will be a game-time decision Friday against the Raptors.
Description: Indiana center Roy Hibbert tweeted after Wednesday's game that he wants to win the Defensive Player of the Year Award this season.
Insight: Hibbert is averaging 5.2 blocks and 9.0 rebounds over the first five games this season, and the Pacers have allowed just 84.4 ppg in a 5-0 start. Indiana's defensive anchor has a very good shot at winning the award.
Description: Pacers shooting guard Lance Stephenson had 15 points, five rebounds, four assists and three 3-pointers Wednesday against the Bulls.
Insight: The 19 points Stephenson had in the season opener were no fluke; he's scored in double figures in all five games this season and is averaging 16.4 ppg. He's made 2.8 threes on 5.2 attempts per game after making just 0.8 on 2.4 attempts per game last season.
Description: Indiana point guard George Hill tested his sore hip after the team's walkthrough Wednesday but it didn't loosen up. He'll miss Wednesday's game, according to Scott Agness of Pacers.com.
Insight: It will be Hill's third straight absence. C.J. Watson has started the last two games and averaged 31 minutes, 11 points, 5.5 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals in that span. Pacers coach Frank Vogel said Hill is, "Better, but not quite ready. He's literally day-to-day."
Description: Indiana stetched its record to 4-0 Tuesday night behind 31 points from Paul George.
Insight: As usual, George's contributions weren't limited to just scoring. He had ten rebounds, four assists and a season-high four steals. George entered tonight's action tied for fourth in scoring at 25.7 ppg.
Description: Indiana G/F Paul George jammed his finger Tuesday but it shouldn't keep him out of Wednesday's game against the Pelicans. SOURCE: Scott Agness, Pacers.com
Insight: If the injury was bothering him, he sure didn't play like it Tuesday against Orlando (24 points, six boards, five assists, three rejections). George was one of four players in the league to average at least 15 points, five rebounds and five assists per game last season. Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and Russell Westbrook were the other three.
Description: Pacers shooting guard Lance Stephenson kicked off the season with 19 points, seven rebounds, five assists, one block and two threes in 36 minutes Tuesday against the Magic.
Insight: Stephenson is be the biggest beneficiary of Danny Granger's absence, as it allows him to start at shooting guard. The 23-year-old averaged 8.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.8 threes in 29 minutes per game last season, but he should take a step forward with Granger out and should be owned in most leagues.
Description: Indiana center Roy Hibbert enjoyed a spectacular opening night Tuesday against the Magic, though he suffered a knee injury late in the game. SOURCE: Pacers.com
Insight: We're hearing the injury won't prevent Hibbert from suiting up tomorrow night against the Pelicans. Though he only took six shots (3-of-6 for eight points), Hibbert was a beast on the boards (16 rebounds) and was equally imposing in the lane with seven blocks. He could be a Defensive Player of the Year candidate in 2013-14.
Description: The Pacers will sit Danny Granger (calf) for approximately three weeks, according to NBA.com.
Insight: The team said the move is a precautionary measure after Granger missed all but five games last season due to a knee injury. Lance Stephenson will start at shooting guard while Paul George will slide to small forward. Fantasy owners shouldn't count on Granger as more than a late-round selection.
Description: Indiana will be without small forward Danny Granger for the first two games of the season. SOURCE: Scott Agness, Pacers.com
Insight: Here we go again. Granger, who is dealing with a strained left calf, just can't seem to stay healthy. While he's sidelined, Paul George will fill in at small forward with Lance Stephenson playing the two.
Description: Pacers small forward Danny Granger aggravated his left calf strain last Friday and is doubtful for Wednesday's season opener. SOURCE: Scott Agness, Pacers.com
Insight: Granger played just five games last season because of a knee injury. The 30-year-old could be Indiana's starter at small forward this season but even if he is, he's unlikely to see more than 30 minutes a game. For the opener, Paul George would probably play the three with Lance Stephenson filling in at shooting guard.
Description: Pacers small forward Danny Granger aggravated his left calf strain Friday against Chicago.
Insight: Granger played just five games last season due to a left knee injury, and he strained his calf Wednesday night before leaving Friday's game with the same issue. The 30-year-old may start for Indiana but he's unlikely to see more than 30 minutes per game.
Description: Pacers small forward Danny Granger suffered a left calf strain during Wednesday's preseason game.
Insight: Granger played just five games last season due to a left knee injury, and his calf strain could be a result of Granger trying to get comfortable playing on the knee this preseason. The Pacers are likely to limit Granger's minutes to around 25 per game, which will hurt his fantasy value.
Description: Paul George and the Pacers agreed to a multi-year contract extension on Wednesday. SOURCE: NBA.com
Insight: The contract details still haven't been released. Team president Larry Bird said recently that anything less than a trip to the Finals would be a disappointment for this team. That's easier said than done, especially with Miami standing in the Pacers' way.
Description: The Pacers are close to signing swingman Paul George to a five-year, $90 million contract extension. SOURCE: Yahoo Sports
Insight: It's a max deal that will make George (17.4 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 4.1 apg, 1.8 spg) one of the highest paid players in the NBA. After leading Indiana to within one game of the NBA Finals last season, he certainly deserves it.
Description: When the Suns traded Luis Scola to the Pacers they likely damaged his fantasy value. As backup to David West, Scola doesn't figure to get the same 26 minutes-a-game he averaged with Phoenix.
Insight: Scola averaged 12.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per game in his lone season with the Suns. He has averaged 14.2 ppg over his six NBA seasons including a high of 18.3 ppg in 2010-11.
Description: The Suns have traded Luis Scola to the Pacers for Gerald Green, Miles Plumlee and a 2014 lottery-protected first-round pick.
Insight: It was essentially spare parts for Indiana. Scola received inconsistent minutes and averaged 12.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per game in his lone season with the Suns. He'll take Tyler Hansbrough's role as David West's backup. Hansbrough averaged just 17 minutes per game last season.
Description: The Knicks didn't match Indiana's two-year offer for forward Chris Copeland.
Insight: The deadline for the Knicks to submit an offer was July 13th. Copeland (8.7 ppg in New York last season) will be a helpful addition off the bench but he probably won't be of much use to fantasy owners.
Description: C.J. Watson has signed with the Pacers. SOURCE: David Aldridge, TNT
Insight: It's a two-year contract. Watson was a casualty of the Nets' huge offseason makeover. If he had stayed in Brooklyn he probably wouldn't have gotten much playing time behind Deron Williams, Shaun Livingston and Jason Terry. In Indiana, he'll serve as a backup to George Hill.
Description: David West has agreed to a three-year, $36 million deal to stay with the Pacers. SOURCE: Yahoo Sports
Insight: West struggled in his first year with Indiana (12.8 ppg, 6.6 rpg), but was much better in 2012-13 (17.1 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 2.9 apg, 1.0 spg, .9 bpg). West had told NBC Sports a few weeks ago that he couldn't see himself playing for another team and it looks like the team felt the same way. He'll help your fantasy team in many categories, except three-point shooting.
Description: According to ESPN, the Pacers are "leaning toward" keeping forward Danny Granger instead of pursuing a trade.
Insight: Granger missed most of the season with a knee injury and his replacement, Paul George became the star of the team. When Granger comes back, George (17.4 ppg, 7.6 rpg) will move to shooting guard with Granger resuming his role as the team's starting small forward. Lance Stephenson (72 starts at shooting guard in 2012-13) would be the odd man out of the starting lineup.
Description: According to the Pacers' official Twitter account, re-signing forward David West will be the team's top priority this offseason.
Insight: West struggled in his first year with the Pacers (12.8 ppg, 6.6 rpg) but was much better in 2012-13 (17.1 ppg, 7.7 rpg). West told NBC Sports a few weeks ago that he couldn't see himself playing for another team. All signs point to West returning to Indiana.
Description: The Pacers expect forward Danny Granger (knee) to be 100 percent healthy by training camp, according to Scott Agness of Pacers.com.
Insight: Granger played just five games this season following knee surgery. Paul George emerged as Indiana's top scorer in Granger's absence, so Granger's fantasy value will be reduced if he remains with the Pacers in 2013-14.
Description: Pacers big man Roy Hibbert has been fined $75,000 for comments he made after Saturday's win against the Heat.
Insight: Hibbert swore on live television and also used a gay slur. Hibbert quickly apologized for his remarks and even reached out to Wizards center Jason Collins, who came out as gay a little over a month ago. Hibbert's apology was sincere and it sounds like the All-Star center has learned from his mistake.
Description: Indiana point guard George Hill has a sprained big toe but he doesn't expect to miss any time, according to Mark Montieth of Pacers.com.
Insight: Hill missed a game in Indiana's series against the Knicks with a concussion but this injury won't cost him any time. The 27-year-old is averaging 14.8 points, 4.6 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.8 threes per game in 12 postseason games this season, numbers that are almost identical to what he averaged during the regular season.
Description: Pacers shooting guard Lance Stephenson struggled with his shot on Wednesday (just 2-of-10 from the field) but he made up for it by collecting a game-high 12 rebounds.
Insight: Wednesday was Stephenson's fifth double-digit rebounding game of the playoffs. Unfortunately, the high rebounding totals seem to always come at the expense of Stephenson's offensive outputs. In those five games, Stephenson has only scored in double-digits twice.
Description: Paul George led the Pacers with 27 points on Wednesday but his poor defense on the last play of overtime allowed LeBron James to swoop in for the game-winning layup.
Insight: George told the Indianapolis Star after the game that he slipped on the play that led to the game-winning shot. George is usually an excellent defensive player so we figured that was probably the case. He'll have an opportunity to redeem himself Friday night in Game 2.
Description: Indiana point guard George Hill is questionable for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals Saturday against New York after being diagnosed with a concussion. He didn't play Thursday night in Game 5 against New York.
Insight: Hill will have to pass several levels of concussion tests before he is allowed to play. Hill was sensational in Game 4 (26 points in 37 minutes). D.J. Augustin would again handle the point guard duties in Hill's absence (12 points, zero assists, two turnovers in Game 5), but the offense would more than likely run through Paul George instead.
Description: Indiana point guard George Hill has been diagnosed with a concussion. He won't be able to play Thursday night in Game 5 against New York. SOURCE: David Benner, Pacers.com
Insight: This is a huge blow for the Pacers, especially since Hill is coming off a sensational Game 4 performance (26 points in 37 minutes). D.J. Augustin will handle the point guard duties in Hill's absence.
Description: Despite being one of the smaller players on the floor, Indiana guard Lance Stephenson was able to corral 13 rebounds Sunday in a Game 1 victory over New York.
Insight: The 13 rebounds marks a new season-high for Stephenson, who has now collected double-digit rebounds in three straight games. He only did that twice in 78 regular season contests. Stephenson (11 points) was one of six Pacers to score in double figures on Sunday.
Description: Pacers forward Paul George led the way with 27 points Wednesday in a win over the Hawks.
Insight: George (11-of-21) had a much better shooting night than he did in Game 1 (3-for-13). He's Indiana's best player right now and probably one of the most versatile talents in the entire NBA. The Pacers will have a chance to take a 3-0 series lead Saturday night in Atlanta.
Description: Indiana small forward Paul George has been named the NBA's Most Improved Player for the 2012-13 season.
Insight: He was also in the running for Defensive Player of the Year but that honor went to the Grizzlies' Marc Gasol. George led the Pacers in points (17.4 ppg) and steals (1.8 spg) this season and was selected for his first All-Star Game back in February.
Description: Pacers point guard George Hill (hip/groin) aggravated the injury in Sunday's game, but is not expected to miss any playing time.
Insight: Hill played 36 minutes in Game 1 and shot 7-for-10 for 18 points, three rebounds and two assists. He's a solid point guard, but the offense runs through the NBA's Most Improved Player - Paul George, so Hill's upside is limited.
Description: Pacers forward Paul George posted a triple-double Sunday in Game 1 against the Hawks (23 points, 11 rebounds, 12 assists).
Insight: Almost all of his points came from the free throw line (17-for-18). With Danny Granger sidelined for the rest of the year, this is George's team now. We're expecting him to have another strong outing Wednesday in Game 2.
