NCAA Game Summary - Delaware at Hofstra

Hempstead, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Davon Usher scored 27 points and Devon Saddler followed closely behind with 24, as the Delaware Blue Hens came from behind to defeat the Hofstra Pride, 81-77, in Colonial Athletic Association action at the Mack Sports Complex.
Usher hauled in eight rebounds and Saddler dished out seven assists for Delaware (20-8, 12-1 CAA), which bounced back from its first CAA loss of the season at Towson on Monday night. Kyle Anderson poured in 18 points for the hosts, while Carl Baptiste tallied 10 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks.
For Hofstra (8-20, 4-9), losers of three straight and eight of nine, Zeke Upshaw netted 26 points, Dion Nesmith logged 22 points and five assists and Moussa Kane corralled 10 boards.
Hofstra had control of the contest early, running out to a lead at big as 16 points in the first half before going into halftime with a comfortable 41-32 advantage. The Pride shot just 40.6 percent from the field in the opening 20 minutes, but the Blue Hens were even worse (.306).
While Hofstra continued its modest shooting effort in the second half (.412), Delaware improved to a lofty 55.2 percent from the field. With the game tied at 75 in the final minute, Saddler delivered the game-winning bucket with 47 seconds to play, and the Blue Hens put the game out of reach by shooting 4- of-6 at the free-throw line in the final 12 seconds.
Delaware knocked down 22-of-35 from the foul line on the night, while Hofstra was only 11-of-16 at the stripe.
