GAME NOTES: The Wofford Terriers hope to serve up some revenge when they host the Furman Paladins in a Southern Conference clash at Johnson Arena.

These teams met last Monday in Greenville, where the Paladins claimed a 69-65 victory on their home court. Furman leads the all-time series, 83-47, although Wofford had won seven of the previous eight meetings. The Paladins shot 58.1 percent from the floor and hit 10-of-18 3-pointers in last week's matchup, but Wofford managed to hang around by forcing 19 turnovers.

Furman enters the rematch looking to build on Sunday's 69-61 triumph at UNC Greensboro. It marked the first road victory in nine tries this season for the Paladins. Overall, they have rebounded from a season-long six-game slide by winning two of their last three outings, including that recent win over Wofford.

Meanwhile, Wofford's struggles have continued as the team has dropped three straight and six of its last seven contests. Most recently, the Terriers were on the wrong end of a 68-61 final at Elon on Saturday to wrap up a 0-3 road trip. If the Terriers are to turn their season around, now is the time, as they will play five of their next six in Spartanburg.

Furman trailed UNCG by as many as 12 in the second half before going on separate 11-0 and 19-4 runs to take control. The Paladins shot 58.3 percent from the floor over the final 20 minutes, and that included a 5-of-6 effort from beyond the arc. The victory snapped an 11-game road losing streak as five different Paladins scored in double figures. Bobby Austin had a team-high 13 points, while Colin Reddick recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. On the season, Reddick leads the team in field-goal percentage (.517), scoring (12.2), rebounding (6.1), blocks (0.8) and steals (1.0). However, he is also the only double-digit scorer for the Paladins, who are shooting just 40.9 percent as a team and are -7.2 in scoring margin.

The Terriers are no better on the offensive end, averaging only 59.1 points behind a collective 39-percent shooting effort. However, they are a sound defensive squad and have held foes to 60.3 ppg. Karl Cochran paces Wofford with 16.1 ppg, although he is shooting a mere 36.6 percent from the floor. Spencer Collins (11.4 ppg) and Lee Skinner (11.1 ppg, 7.5 rpg) are the only other players on the team who are averaging at least five points. That lack of scoring options proved costly toward the end of Saturday's game against Elon. The Terriers led by three with 4:31 to play, but the Phoenix closed out the contest with an 11-3 scoring spurt to seal the outcome. Cochran led the way with a team-high 18 points in defeat, while Skinner recorded his fifth double- double of the season with 13 points and 14 rebounds.

After last week's matchup between these two teams, Wofford knows better than to let the Paladins roam free along the perimeter. The Paladins got their first road win out of the way, but making it two in a row, and sweeping a season series, will be a difficult task.
