Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - Rod Odom and Dai'Jon Parker scored 18 points apiece, as the Vanderbilt Commodores capped the regular season with a 74-64 win over the South Carolina Gamecocks in SEC play at Memorial Gymnasium.

Parker's 18 points were a career-high, while Odom scored all but two of his points in the first half to help stake Vanderbilt an early lead. Kedren Johnson chipped in with 12 points for the Commodores (14-16, 8-10 SEC), who notched their fifth straight win in the head-to-head series.

Brenton Williams had 17 points and Bruce Ellington scored 10 for the Gamecocks (14-17, 4-14).

With Odom leading the charge, Vandy shot 53.8 percent from the floor in the first half to build a 36-25 lead at the break. South Carolina was held to 8- of-30 shooting (.267) in the opening frame.

The Commodores cooled off from the floor in the second stanza (8-of-22) but they made 19-of-22 free throws over the final 20 minutes to keep South Carolina at bay. The Gamecocks rallied back from a 12-point deficit to make it a 56-54 game on Lakeem Jackson's layup with 3:45 to play, and it was still a four-point game in the final two minutes before Vandy sealed the outcome with free throws down the stretch.

The Gamecocks shot just 35.9 percent for the game and they were outscored at the charity stripe, 23-11.
