=== Kings pull away from Magic ===

Sacramento, CA (Sports Network) - DeMarcus Cousins posted 17 points and 14
rebounds to lead the Sacramento Kings past the Orlando Magic, 91-82, on
 Friday.

Isaiah Thomas also dropped in 17 points, while Jimmer Fredette scored 15,
Jason Thompson poured in 12 and Aaron Brooks contributed 11 for the Kings, who
won consecutive games for the first time since Nov. 5-7.

"It feels great to just continue to go out there, play well, play hard and
ultimately try to get wins. That's what it's all about," said Fredette.

Glen Davis paced the Magic with 20 points and 11 rebounds in Orlando's second
 straight loss.

Arron Afflalo netted 18 points, Jameer Nelson had 17 and Andrew Nicholson
 finished with 14 in defeat.

Orlando trailed, 46-34, entering the third quarter, but Nelson sank a pair of
3-pointers and netted eight points as the Magic responded to John Salmons'
opening runner with a 25-6 run to take a 59-54 lead on Afflalo's triple with 4
1/2 minutes left in the third.

The Kings would close their gap to 64-62 heading into the fourth quarter, and
were later able to take advantage of a four-minute stretch without a basket by
Orlando with a 9-0 burst to regain a 73-68 lead on a Fredette jumper with just
under seven minutes left in the game.

Sacramento stretched its advantage up to as much as nine points before Davis
converted a three-point play and Nelson drained a shot from beyond the arc to
make it a 79-76 game with 3:39 remaining.

Afflalo's driving layup following a Fredette jumper later brought the Magic
back within three, but the Magic would make just one more shot from the floor
over the final two-plus minutes and Sacramento was able to put the game away
 at the foul line.

"Offensively I think we had good shots," Davis said. "We should have made
those shots. I know I had some really good looks that I missed, but we just
got to make sure that we finish a game."

Orlando held an early 6-2 lead before a Francisco Garcia 3-pointer sparked an
18-3 run that gave Sacramento a 20-9 advantage with less than three minutes to
 play in the first quarter.

The Kings carried a 25-16 edge into the second and were able to maintain at
least a seven-point lead in the frame until Afflalo scored the final four
points of a 6-0 spurt to bring the Magic within 36-32 with a little over five
 minutes left.

Sacramento, though, closed out the second quarter with a 10-2 run to take a
 46-34 edge into the break.
